Mixing the lines up. Fine. But is GG able to motivate the squad? Is he capable of making a speech of some sort that will pump everyone up. Just changing the lines without addressing the issues in our system and motivation of the squad will do nothing. I have lost all faith in our coach. Hope he proves me wrong.

Speeches mean basicslly nothing. You think Nhl players need a guy to pump them up before a game and that's gonna dictate how he plays? This isn't a mighty ducks movie or something. The lack of effort the players are making tanking this team.

Been thinking about the situation soberly today, and came to the same conclusion some of us was getting dragged on coming into this series: this is our worst possible matchup. It was before, it remains, and will be a miracle if we pull the comeback off.

I like miracles, so hoping for one.

This is why I can't blame the d and goalie. They Rangers have put a solid defense and goalie on the ice for 2 decades now. I'm sorry, but they aren't the problem. And no, the goalie alone isn't enough to get those numbers. There are 6 other guys that help out a lot. No one is an island in a consistent movement based team sport.

It's the forwards. Its been the forwards the whole time. Whether that be development, amatuer scouting, pro scouting, skills coach, grit, whatever. Its the forwards. There are 12 of them. Only 7 of the other guys. (6 D + 1 G)

It is a wonder to me that people dislike the Rangers so much. They never win. They never have the assholes of the league. They are never a fierce team. Why the dislike? This team is vanilla and has been forever which is why they lose.

And maybe that has something to do with it. The players that play for us don't like us. They don't really want the team to succeed cause they probably grew up hating this f***ing team in the first place. They go out there, go through the motions and collect their money. Need to find us some Tkachuks/Marchands/Gallaghers/Kucherovs/etc. You have to hate to lose or else you won't win.
I’m convinced there’s some sort of shadow directive from sather (only use low risk plays based around the stretch pass offense, stay in a straight line for an odd man rush, can’t cut to the middle in the offensive zone, etc)

On one hand, mixing and matching the lines to try to match those players that actually can play with a bit of grit and jam with those that can't may actually add to some differentiation in how we attack the Devils.

On the other hand, doing it this late feels incredibly desperate, overdue, and probably not fleshed out enough to be successful. These guys likely won't gel in a day.

Just rearranging the ingredients wont change the recipe (I like food analogies)...

Need to create a whole different outcome. How? New Blood? Perhaps a change in game plan......but gotta do something different

My lines for tomorrow would be:

Kreider - Chytil - Othmann
Panarin - Brodzinski - Vesey
Cullye - Trocheck - Tarasenko
Kakko - Goodrow - Kane

Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Jones
Mikkola - Schneider

Shesterkin

PP1
Kreider-Trocheck-Tarasenko
Fox-Panarin
PP2
Kakko-Chytil-Othmann
Jones-Kane

Scratch: Zibanejad, Lafreniere, Motte, Trouba

And have those cords ready to descend our secret weapon from the rafters

Looking at the boxscore and thinking, is this a f***ing joke?

What in the actual f*** is Miller doing getting FIVE more ES minutes than Fox???

In fact, Schneider and Mikkola had more ESTOI than Fox.

Braindead coaching. Braindead.

Going to be missing the game tomorrow, can’t even check my phone. Maybe it’s a good thing. Maybe the hockey gods will take my sacrifice and get us to a Game 7 with momentum on our side giving us back some hope to advance to the next round.
I envy your freedom!
