Mercer had half of Laf’s production in the Q and looks great in the NHL.f*** the QMJHL
It doesn’t but still, f*** that leagueDoesn't explain Kakko, Andersson, or Kravtsov, but I feel strongly about Laf.

I'm so scarred from Lafreniere that I wouldn't draft the second coming of Mario Lemieux if given the chance TBH.f*** the QMJHL
Just my opinion, and I don't wanna drag this into a whole thing: we have the puck so much when he's on the ice that he's rarely in a situation where he can be noticably physical. It would be interference. In this series? I guess but honestly what does he do out there that makes you notice a 6’3” 220lb guy who’s supposedly so embarrassed and pissed off? Is that not fair to ask?

Curtis would show more heart than both those players. then again half of Hartford wp could. Bring up some players and bench some tired stars. Not gonna happen with gg here.Kakko can and will get by on physical tools. Maybe he'll find a way to refine his game to become a solid top-6 guy. Maybe he'll find another gear after the "you should be better" feeling wears off.
Lafrenier can be swapped out for Leschyshyn next game, and it'll make zero difference.
Chytil has been a non-factor too, but don't wanna harp on him when everyone else sucks too.
He used to take a ton of penalties and figured out how to be just as effective without doing that.I will always appreciate Kreider, even if I'm calling him a bitch.
His optics problem is that he pretty much came into the league at (what we thought was) his peak. The speed + size were there, but the skill/results didn't improve over time.
Then he evolved his game, and became a better player, but leaves me questioning where the og Chris went. He's still big and strong in front of the net. But where's the speed and aggression? I can't remember the last time he threw a big hit.
I want the best of both worlds.
Agree to disagree my dudeJust my opinion, and I don't wanna drag this into a whole thing: we have the puck so much when he's on the ice that he's rarely in a situation where he can be noticably physical. It would be interference.
The Rangers got absolutely smoked tonight and still had two-thirds of the shots and 80% of the chances when Kreider was on the ice.
He appears to be low-effort because him retrieving the puck doesn't require effort. He boxes his man out every single time and his positioning along the boards is perfect. Him hitting a lot would be wasted energy at best and a penalty at worst.
I'm serious. I'd immediately throw away any 1st round talent out of that league for the next 50 years if I ran the team. Do not draft in the 1st round. Forever. With the Rangers?
His cancer would have progressed and he would have died before training camp.
If it's bad enough that Gorton designed the build around players who are passive skill and no grit, they are one dimensional skill players with niche specialties.
The entire league is filled with goons and deck hockey players that started skating last year.I'm serious. I'd immediately throw away any 1st round talent out of that league for the next 50 years if I ran the team.

It's like Laf wore the AWA title belt when he got the call to go to the WWF and then struggles to even get pop from the crowd in matches with mid carders like Paul Roma and Koko B. Ware. It’s the weakest of the 3 leagues
