Not sure what you expected. Most fans would be happy being up 2-1. I don’t think the Devils have played bad I think we’ve outplayed them. Today they made some adjustments and it still went down the wire and things went their way which happens. Rangers are still in good shape and will take care of business

Will the Devils lose 3 home games in a row? Possible of course, but I doubt Gallant feels great about tonight even though he probably said nothing to the team after the game.

I disagree. We win game 4 and go back 3-1 and then win in 6.

They did turn it on and they still barely beat us. They were much better than they were int he first two games and gave us a real test.

I don't see this team really hammering us and I don't see them winning a game like that 3/4 times without a bunch of luck.

This is also the first time in the series the Devils gave us anything worth adjusting to and we will.

Last year against the Penguins, Lafreniere scored early in game 4 to give us the lead.

Going into game 5, the Penguins scored 9 of the next 10 goals.

If that didn't bother this team, you think this will?

Momentum and a $1.50 gets you a bag of chips.

Trocheck has been unable to take a pass on his stick all series. I also don’t understand the way Kane plays, he’s terrible on the fire check and is way to soft on the puck. If he was a rookie he would be benched

Overall the rangers were the better team and they will win game 4. Nothing to worry about

A win when the game is there for the taking. Some nights you just don't have it, or the opp has it going on. We had 5 pp's, a breakaway miss, multiple wide shots on very similar looks to what Hamilton had. I don't expect the team to win out, but I can't come away from an OT loss like that feeling "OK". Series is all but tied.

Rangers lose game 4. We can still win in 6 though.

Ben Bishop owes the Rangers royalties for the fat retirement contract he got. The Rangers tend to make goalies like Schmid and Bishop look good. Make these guys move laterally and they're toast. But the Devils adjusted and took away a lot of the east-west options and dared the Rangers to beat them on the cycle, and it was really, really effective because the Rangers didnt adjust. The east/west plays were still being forced but not too many chances were great because the recipient was at a bad angle or covered.

Cycle and get bodies in front of the net and make this guy's life miserable. Go high off the rush if you get those chances like Krieder did. I expect the kid line and the 4th line to have a big night Monday.

when I say we played poorly, I’m talking about the missed shots, passes, just plays without any defensive resistance. great examples are panarin’s breakaway and the chance on the PP at the end. Those are shots he needs to bury or at the very least make competitive. That’s my problem. We didn’t do jack with the chances we actually had, which we had several of.

It was a poorly executed change for sure. The Ranger covering Hamilton was at center ice when he scored. That literally gave me a headache watching it back.

Rangers are up 2-1. If you wanna act like it’s tied or the sky is falling be my guest but it’s pretty stupid

I don’t think momentum bothers our team as much as our momentum bothered the devils. They looked lifeless and my only concern is giving them a spark. I think they are a better team than they’ve played so far and it would’ve been really nice to have stepped on their throat tonight. Next game has big momentum implications in this series

After Monday, a lot of people going to think the sky is falling. If we go down 3-2, then I'll start thinking that. Not yet though. We nee to win game 5.
 
I thought the opposite before the series, so what the f*** do I know, but I can't see this team beating us.

@McRanger92 was right. This team mostly punted the regular season.

We're completely on another level in the playoffs from where we were in the regular season.

And it's not like last year's scrappy team that got outplayed by PIttsburgh but hung in there; they're actually playing well, and added the skill they needed.

Maybe the flow of the series turns around, I'm not f***ing Nostradamus, but if we play consistently like we did in the first three, we're a wagon.

I've been really impressed.

Yeah but like, we just absolutely clowned them in back to back games and they won tonight anyway.

Where was this "momentum?"
