All 8 series are 2-1 after Colorado ends tonight. The Rangers were going to have some back breaking losses, that’s every playoffs for every team.
Not over, but definitely frustrated that they continue to piss away opportunities to put teams away and win a series in less than 6 games. You have the Devils on the ropes and now they have life. Pressure's 100% on the Rangers on Monday now. If this goes back to Jersey tied they're not losing all 3 at home. Guaranteed. So is the series over because we lost a game in OT that we should have won and Jersey had to win?
This is my only positive from the game. I thought the Rangers played a very poor game and NJ didn’t play well either. The ice sucked and both teams seemed to be fighting it. There were very few high danger chances. Devils needed the W. They now have some confidence and momentum and will push harder next game. On the flip side, the Rangers are an experienced group and got a couple gut punches after pretty much laying head shots for 2 games. They will respond. The fact the rangers played this much worse than the past two games and it took the devils going to OT to win should say it all.
Yeah ok. Rangers in 6.
Again this was never going to be a sweep. The Rangers didn’t play badly. The Devils had their back and the walks and made some adjustments. Things went there way tonight. It happens. We’ve seen it happen all the time around the league it’s nothing newNot over, but definitely frustrated that they continue to piss away opportunities to put teams away and win a series in less than 6 games. What is going to happens is we are going back to Jersey with the series tied at 2 rather than us up 3-1. Game 4 was always going to go to the Devils, this one is the one we let get away.So is the series over because we lost a game in OT that we should have won and Jersey had to win?
I was disagreeing with you acting like the sky is fallingRight here
Mind reader are you? What is going to happens is we are going back to Jersey with the series tied at 2 rather than us up 3-1. Game 4 was always going to go to the Devils, this one is the one we let get away.
Will the Devils lose 3 home games in a row? Possible of course, but I doubt Gallant feels great about tonight even though he probably said nothing to the team after the game.
That’s not what you saidI was disagreeing with you acting like the sky is falling

I don't agree with the assumption that the Devils are still ass and we just played down to them tonight.Actually, we both know this exact game isn't going to happen again. What happens if the Rangers play their game tonight but the Devils decide to turn it up?
Need to win the winnable games so you have a buffer to lose the ones you can't. It's a proper series now.
What we ALL know though is the media and non-Ranger fans are calling it NJD in 6 after tonight.
I wouldn't change the personnel one bit. The personnel got away from what made them successful in Games 1 and 2.Our powerplay was 4/10 in the first two games. We're going to start moving things around now?
You don't react to one game.
That idiot Lindy completely changed what the Devils did all season going into game 2 and they got laughed off the ice.
Or our $10M wingerAt some point our first overall pick has to produce something offensively.
I don't think we played down at all, actually. Our skill decided to take the night off. It wasn't for lack of effort. That is what makes it sting a bit more. The Devils can be much better.I don't agree with the assumption that the Devils are still ass and we just played down to them tonight.
They did turn it on and they still barely beat us. They were much better than they were int he first two games and gave us a real test.
I don't see this team really hammering us and I don't see them winning a game like that 3/4 times without a bunch of luck.
This is also the first time in the series the Devils gave us anything worth adjusting to and we will.
Nothing is guaranteed. The game could have gone either way and nobody should have expected a sweep. Every series is 2-1. The Devils are a good team and so are the Rangers. The Devils are still down in the series so the pressure is actual more on them.
