You can see why the Debs have that little brother thing going on. Like, they've had a great season. They've sucked the first two games which for their fans is obviously really painful. But then on top of that, they have to listen to and watch 8,000 Rangers fans in their barn turning it into a home game and a big f***ing party at the end while their fans slink away. Like that must really, really blow.
and they had to listen to the lamentations of their women

The Devils played super defensive in the first and high octane, and got a bit lucky on a PP goal rebound. But like we've seen with the Canes, and us in Game 1 against the Pens last year, you can go balls to the wall only so long before you lose a step and start making mental errors. We came out ready in the 2nd, got it deep, worked them over and took it to them, and they had no answer.

Devils board:
Maybe playoff experience does matter?
Gallant outcoaching the shit outta Ruff
Devils can't play playoff hockey
Devils getting whipped because they're tying to play playoff hockey and completely changed their game for the playoffs- need to go back to high-flying style of reg season

Regarding that last one, please do, Rangers are clogging the NZ just waiting for turnovers, and then getting it deep and battling for pucks when we don't get them. Pond hockey plays right into that.

The Rangers won games this year playing high flying, some were defensive minded clog the NZ, and others were us getting shelled but keeping the shots to the outside and clearing any rebounds with timely goals to get the W. It's like we practiced all styles so we're ready to adjust for our opponent in the playoffs.

Watching Scotty and Chico talk, you can see they have no clue on how this club can turn it around. LOL!

They recognize the Rangers are just too strong.
It was hard for me to pay attention because I was distracted by the thought "How does Scott Gomez still not know to unbutton his suit jacket when he sits down? He looks like a pear."

You are not a troll, you are a good poster here who contributes valid points to the discussion. Not sure if it was you or someone else about Kreider, but the last thing I want to read, is about moving Kreider now, after he just scored 4 huge goals in 2 playoff games. I think a lot of folks feel that way or I could be wrong, I dunno. Lol.

Listen, if we all agreed on stuff, this place would be very boring. Would be called the StepFord boards, Lol.

I was recently arguing about moving Kreider, but it's in the context of keeping Tarasenko. Not trying to move out Kreider only for futures at this point.

Trouba is a different matter.

I don't know, I mean, I'm a little out of sorts.

No turtling with lead
Consecutive four goal wins
No nervous moments
Meeting/Exceeding expectations
TDL acquisitions working like a charm
Big Names with Big Games

What the hell am I watching?
Nearly unrecognizable. 1-20 players. Are there ANY we don't like/love?
As it stands now, doesn't seem to be any whipping boys.
No Malik's, no Rozy's, no Glasses. Please feel free to add to this list.
But, you guys KNOW what I mean.

I like to think that Gallant was sandbagging our PP all year with Mika’s predictability, only to unleash Kreider in the playoffs.
Funny you should say that, because I KNOW I said that Gallant is not going to show what he plans on doing in the PO's, so the oppostion cannot prepare for it. Might be some of that but certainly we didn't have Kane and Tank as additional weapons that NO TEAM can cover all of the 10 we ice.
They've been masterful, and Fox leading the charge is similar to a harmonious song. Just so smooth.

The PP goal in addition to being a bit of puck luck occurred because Trocheck, a righty, and Goodrow, a lefty, had to switch sides in the Rangers box after their failed clear attempt. Trocheck went to cover the right point, which is Goodrow's spot. A lefty stick would have been in the shooting lane, and that shot probably wouldn't have been attempted, and still it was a bit of a bad angle shot.

My only concern is that we're one injury away from Harpoon or Jake the Snake being in the lineup.

Much like Colorado last year we don't have a single plug in our lineup

Only two games but if you would have told me Kane would have 4 points to Mika's 1 I would have said you are crazy. The fact is (not looking at scoresheet only) Mika has been fine, engaged and been playing like a 2 way center in the playoffs should be playing.
Yeah it's not a knock on Mika or Panarin that they aren't producing yet. More so just pointing out the luxury of being able to still dominate offensively without them producing.

When we traded for Vlad and Kane, a lot of the chatter was how they would help Mika and Panarin produce on their lines. What wasn't talked about enough was how much pressure would be taken off their shoulders, and how someone like Panarin probably doesn't need to deal with the NY media again this time if he goes a game or two without production.

Depth is always good. Depth in the pressure cooker that is NYC can get everyone to stop gripping their sticks so tightly.
