MA Godin mentioned in his article that Heineman told him that he is still under contract with Leksands. And Godin got the impression that Heineman might not be interested to play in Laval. That he will try to make the Habs out of the camp or go back to SHL. Heineman didn't flat out say it, but from his comments, Godin got that impression.
What Montreal could try to convince Heineman to stay is if he starts in Laval, he has the opportunity to earn a call up and get to the NHL this year. Whereas if he goes back to Sweden, he won't be able to play NHL until next year.
