The Ben Chiarot appreciation tweet:
Chiarot will always be a scapegoat, even when it's not deserved just because of his contract and his reputation with the fancy stats crowd

He was also shit last year.Chiarot will always be a scapegoat, even when it's not deserved just because of his contract and his reputation with the fancy stats crowd
Since they also fine/suspend for blatant boardings that could hurt a player much worse, this is ok with me.Huh, so Walman got fined. League continues to be weird.
no movement clauseKlingberg is having season ending surgery done. Maybe we can help Leafs out by trading them Petry.
As part of that NMC, he has a modified NTC, which specifies he can submit a 15-team no trade list.no movement clause
NMC part is probably just to avoid waivers and minors then?As part of that NMC, he has a modified NTC, which specifies he can submit a 15-team no trade list.
So he's still tradeable.
It's a little confusing, but here's how it works:NMC part is probably just to avoid waivers and minors then?
We're a wagon.. I love all the doubters too saying the Wings will fall back to earth. Just as we add Kane into the mix and Edvinsson started tearing up GR patiently waiting for his call up.Are we a wagon?
Yeah, that's how I understood. Wasn't aware of the M-NTC part before you mentioned it above though. It's a little confusing, but here's how it works:
If a player has an NMC with no mention of a modified NTC, then it is understood that the NMC includes a full NTC.
However, a player can have an NMC (protecting him from waivers) but then a M-NTC as part of that, specifying a certain number of teams he can still block a trade to. This is the case with Petry: He has an NMC with an M-NTC that specifies a 15-team no-trade list.
Petry is the only player on the Wings with this arrangement, but there are others in the league.
I agree. Given the dynamics of his signing/contract, it seems to me he'd rather stay in Detroit as a frequent scratch than be traded, and Detroit's fine with that as well.Yeah, that's how I understood. Wasn't aware of the M-NTC part before you mentioned it above though.
That said, I don't think he will be traded. Lalonde seems to like his leadership.
Assistant to the Assistant Coach it is!I agree. Given the dynamics of his signing/contract, it seems to me he'd rather stay in Detroit as afrequentpermanent scratch than be traded, and Detroit's fine with that as well.
DeBrincat at 44-goal pace.
Larkin at 34-goal pace.
Perron, Raymond, Fabbri, Sprong, Veleno, Compher - all six guys at +20-goal pace.
And we add Kane on this Top8.
Fabbri has 8 goals in 12 games. He's on 40+ goal pace if he manages to stay healthy. Absolutely on fire, even a bouncing puck goes in.
This is what I'm talking about when I say puck reflexes. Nice.

He's about to report to Canada's world juniors camp...I wonder if they can bring Nate Danielson up on an emergency loan now. We have had enough emergency recalls this season to be allowed to do this
