DeBrincat at 44-goal pace.
Larkin at 34-goal pace.

Perron, Raymond, Fabbri, Sprong, Veleno, Compher - all six guys at +20-goal pace.

And we add Kane on this Top8.

NMC part is probably just to avoid waivers and minors then?
It's a little confusing, but here's how it works:

If a player has an NMC with no mention of a modified NTC, then it is understood that the NMC includes a full NTC.

However, a player can have an NMC (protecting him from waivers) but then a M-NTC as part of that, specifying a certain number of teams he can still block a trade to. This is the case with Petry: He has an NMC with an M-NTC that specifies a 15-team no-trade list.

Petry is the only player on the Wings with this arrangement, but there are others in the league.

Yeah, that's how I understood. Wasn't aware of the M-NTC part before you mentioned it above though.

That said, I don't think he will be traded. Lalonde seems to like his leadership.

I agree. Given the dynamics of his signing/contract, it seems to me he'd rather stay in Detroit as a frequent scratch than be traded, and Detroit's fine with that as well.

Assistant to the Assistant Coach it is!

Fabbri has 8 goals in 12 games. He's on 40+ goal pace if he manages to stay healthy. Absolutely on fire, even a bouncing puck goes in.

This is what I'm talking about when I say puck reflexes. Nice.
I like the way they cycled the puck as well, so many good highlights this season.

Yeah, but Fabbri injury history projects him 50% of the season games. So 40-goal pace = 20 goal final result. :)

Klingberg is having season ending surgery done. Maybe we can help Leafs out by trading them Petry.

That would make them better. Let's not help Leafs at all.

I think after losing Klingberg, that team is better anyways, with the spare D they have.

He should have kept playing injured. :)

Optimistic thought of the day:

After more than a quarter of the season in the books, Detroit is currently tied with Dallas for 6th in point percentage (31 points in 24 games). That's a 105 point pace thus far.

Behind the net
The season has been great this far, but one thing i have to say is someone needs to tell Chiarot who and what he is. Almost lost my mind last game when Chiarot had Kane and Cat both open but decided to skate the puck up to redline and then give it to Kane and try to do some ridiculous give and go and skated first in to the offensive zone. Like dude, it's great that you have confidence but do you really want yourself being the one who takes it to the zone while Kane and Cat stand of one the blue line.

Now don't get me wrong Chiarot has not been bad, but some of his decisions are just incredible to me. Dude hoards the puck when there are forwards open and skates the redline and either dumps it and goes chasing or tries to carry it way too much for my liking.

Even after a tough couple of losses they are still 14-8-4. Playing @ Dallas next game will be tough, I feel like Lalonde is really failing at getting this group to lock things down. If this defense was young I would be saying eh it's just growing pains. But they are vets, the one still learning is Seider our best dman lol.

Just a little tired of not seeing Edvinsson at this point, do I think he's going to come in and just absolutely transform our defense? No, but I believe he offers a lot more than others we are playing and might as well get him started on learning the NHL. If he's a bust let's find out already.

I wonder if they can bring Nate Danielson up on an emergency loan now. We have had enough emergency recalls this season to be allowed to do this
