Just to let the mods know - if the Bruins continue their slide and the Wings play 2 for 3 for a bit and actually pass them in the standings in a couple weeks, you'd better put me on "moderate before OKaying post" because I will have a bottle in each hand and be typing with my...

Nose.

Yeah. My nose.

To be honest, I think it might be good that Larkin is out, for Larkin. Every year he keeps playing hurt and we get a worse version of him during that time. If he would take time and heal up a bit, then maybe he stay healthier longer and be better for it.

Sucks for the team interim, but it also needs to be on some of them to know they need to step it up. Some of them need to show they can play well without our best player in the lineup.

I love the Ottawa fans bringing up our start last year.

Does this team remind anyone of the team last year?
The team that fought tooth and nail to bring games to OT or get blown out a ton?

Not me, this team is different, we've only been "out" of about 3 games this year. We haven't just been hanging around games but dictating them. We had nine 5+ GA games (two of them being 8 bangers) in the year 2022 (35 games) last season and so far we have allowed 5 twice this year in 20 games.

Not to mention this is the Ville Husso we had through 20 starts last year

We know this team is markedly better than last year. Fun to watch, hopefully we can keep those dregs in Ottawa down all year.

If there’s me thing HFboards has taught me is that Ottawa fans are the worst here as a collective.

Is Husso your guys’ #1, or is Detroit now running a 1a/b situation with Lyon? Asking for my fantasy team lol
The coach hasn't made any indication. The fans want Lyon to play more games though.

Sprong his favorite player is Kovalchuk. The same Kovalchuck who gave Kulak a Rolex for … number 17. Well chosen.
Probably because #11 was so tainted by Zadina that he couldn't bear the thought of wearing it again, lol.

Its so funny when people said Yzerman did bad moves in the offseason, and now look at Sens and Sabres, turns out having depth and NHL players around studs like Larkin, Raymond, Seider etc actually makes sense. Everyone and their moms talked shit about Chiarot, but turns out its better to have him rather than anyone who Holland signed.

I would like Lyon to take over at this point and just ride the hot hand. We will see, Husso is getting the Rangers and I am guessing Lyon gets the start tomorrow against the Hawks. Which you would think favors him in the actual battle here to make a case for more and more starts.

Need to send Berggren back down and raise/maintain his trade value in the AHL.

Another prospect that can be packaged up in a deal to get someone very good here at the TDL or summer.

Kasper/Berggren/Wallinder should be-able to get someone solid?

Burger is Sprong V2.0. He won't have much trade value, if he gets traded it'll look a lot like one of the Sprong trades.

Didn’t want to post this in a separate thread, but Larkin announced that him and his wife loss their 2nd child (miscarriage). So incredibly sad for the both of them.

:(

All the best to Dylan and his wife. Hockey becomes pretty insignificant during moments like these.

Trying to beat my arch nemesis in fantasy hockey this week and want to get the jump on his goal pick ups. Any idea who starts tomorrow? Lyon is in free agency and would be an excellent play if he does indeed start

Thank you

Saturday is a big day for the division

MTL vs DET
TBL vs DAL
FLA vs NYI
BUF vs CAR
OTT vs SEA
BOS vs TOR

Detroit absolutely cannot give up points against Montreal. I’m predicting Boston and Florida win against their opponents. Maybe Ottawa since they’re at home.

I see no Gostisbehere threads...how is he working out? His points totals look fantastic...is he also holding his own defensively?
