Why would Holland have the broken refrigerator he bought on clearance delivered to his new house in EDM? He moved across the country to leave that mistake behind.
We have seen him over pay to get Anthanasiou to the Oilers. Holland isnt all that sharp.

I feel like someone would have thrown even a conditional 7th at Det for him. Honestly, kind of surprised he didn’t go the other way in the Yamamoto/Kostin deal.

Never mind, didn’t realize he was making 1.8 for two years.
They probably offered, but Edmonton wanted the cap clearing more than they wanted a project

Just curious are habs still in rebuilding phase or are they looking to compete this upcoming season?

Based on what they did this offseason, they are not competing.

I wouldn’t be surprised for Montreal to pick up another former round 1 disappointing castoff.

Wings fans give some insight to what he does well at this stage?
He's a very well rounded player, honestly.

The problem is he can't score for shit, so he's essentially just out there to play somewhat responsible hockey while the guys who actually can score get a breather.

So he'd be an overpaid 3rd liner to use in a defensive assignment?
At that production? 4th.

I really don't know that all is lost with the guy. But whatever he aint getting, he probably aint getting here.

It's a hard one to give up on because you don't want to look back in 5 years and say "Oh shit he's a 25-25 guy that plays really responsible hockey, and we waived him," but as he stands right now, there's been zero signs of that.

I'll be stunned if he makes it to Philadelphia. I'll be annoyed if he makes it past us. He's probably not going to pan out, but we should absolutely be trying.

I don’t think I’d claim him. He’s done absolutely nothing to prove he can be a productive player.

He needs to go back to Europe and work on his game. I’ve never been impressed with him. He was waived because he has absolutely no value.

He can’t create space in traffic. You can’t score much in the NHL if you can’t do that. It’s why tons of skilled players bust but light up other leagues. There is no space in the NHL.

Was thinking more long term ceiling at this point
