Filip Zadina was not an Yzerman pick...#Yzerplan
There no cap space in the league and he's making 1.8mil despite not being an everyday forwardThat is a weird time to waive someone
At least Ken made those picks and didn't trade them to Tampa for Kyle Quincey.Zadina, Cholowski, Svechnikov… Wings just can’t escape the wrath of Ken Holland
And ironically the moment when suddenly many fans of other teams who haven’t actually watched said prospect regress think their team should claim him because they remember him being a highly touted prospect years ago. This is the moment, where all of the fans of a team come to terms with a failed prospect/pick.
Not a shot at the wings, we've had many of these moments in Montreal
Not really. Tampa drafted Vasilevskiy with that pick...At least Ken made those picks and didn't trade them to Tampa for Kyle Quincey.
... Can't remember who Tampa used that pick on. Probably somebody important.
Filip Zadina was not an Yzerman pick...
... What you just did:
Oh I was well aware, just being sarcastic. Not really. Tampa drafted Vasilevskiy with that pick...
Zadina's trade value was DOA by pretty much 2020, and back loaded contracts were pretty commonplace a year+ ago because players were trying to avoid getting their big money payments until the COVID debt/escrow issue was worked out.IMO, the criticism that Yzerman may or may not deserve doesn't have to do with drafting Zadina, but how he managed him as an "asset". He should've maybe moved on in the form of a trade after 2 disappointing seasons rather than give him some goofy back loaded contract and roll the dice for a 3rd year.
I like the picture of Berggren under the headline...
Not at 1.8 x 2If he makes it to the Canucks they could possibly have 3 draft picks from the Top 10 in the 2018 draft lol
6. Zadina
7. Hughes
9. Kravtsov
Makes sense. He was the best pick of that draft.I like the picture of Berggren under the headline...
definitely not looking for Karlsson. Our defense is more or less set at this point unless we are trading one of Maatta/Seider/Chiarot/Walman. Highly doubt it.Presumably making some cap space / roster space for an acquisition. Maybe DeBrincat? Or maybe they fancy someone still a free agent.
Edit maybe they're after Karlsson?
