Despite the Leafs horrendous losing streak, Morgan Rielly continues to impress

Let's be honest, it's more that Talbot can't buy a save for his life tonight rather than Rielly dazzling. I guess I can't blame Toronto fans for wanting something to talk about though.

Oh yeah...I won't mention him cutting in front of Reimer to screen him for another goal against either.

Oops...I guess I did.

Planning on mentioning the 2 goals scored?

Seriously though, few bad mistakes in his own end tonight. But he's been solid in a number of games before this one

"Goal doesn't count, the Oilers suck."

"Goals don't count, Talbot sucks."

Wow, cool.

How come you didn't include the quality of competition? Any reason why that wasn't included with all these stats?

Why didn't YOU post it? Is it because you know you've got nothing?

ERIK KARLSSON
OppCF60 53.6
OppCA60 53.6
OppCF% 50.0%

MORGAN RIELLY
OppCF60 53.0
OppCA60 53.0
OppCF% 50.0%

You've got nothing. Rielly is better than Karlsson defensively, end of story.

Blah blah

Gives you and the rest of the league something to talk about too. Hockey Mecca, etc.

Because that .789% he's rocking right now is really something special. Again, I'm not going to argue it. There's no reason to kick someone when they're down.

I guess someone had to be that guy

I'm just busting chops. He is a hell of a talent...have never said differently that I can remember.

Not watching the game even....watching Ray Emery shutting out the Habs. Guess I just jinxed that too though. Oh well...will help with the tank.

Rielly is the real deal...Gardiner is not.

He also made a great defensive play 5 minutes ago. I guess you forgot to mention that.

Then go teach Talbot how to actually stop a puck. And teach your team to defend because we need a loss here and your team is letting Rielly run wild.

Yes yes, we know. When a player plays well against you, it's your team playing bad, but when your players play well against a team, superstahs!!

He'd rather put down his goaltender as the reason for the goals than admit Rielly scored on two great shots.

Can't blame him... Complimenting an opposing player?! Absolute insanity!

As a team icing Reimer you should know what a bad goaltender looks like. Talbot is not playing well whatsoever and it's obvious. This isn't to take much away from Rielly, but he certainly looks better when this kind of Leafs team is playing around. A diamond covered in crap is always going to stand out. That's quite the hyperbole though.

Yet it took you four posts to compliment his goals. Yeah. Totally not trying to take anything away from him.

It's hard to praise anyone on a team that has talent yet the worst showing of heart imaginable. Would you rather I post insightful things like "qq more"?

If you can't identify one of three players on the Leafs that are actually playing well (the other two are Winnik and Santorelli, just to let you know) then all hope for you is already lost.
