Despite the Leafs horrendous losing streak, Morgan Rielly continues to impress

Ehh, I'd say more like 3rd best - behind Galchenyuk and Murray

Galchenyuk
Forsberg
Lindholm
Trouba
Rielly
The rest...

So I think he's 5th best player in his draft and will be in the future. I like Trouba and Lindholm's game a lot, especially Lindholm. Having said that, Rielly definitely has the talent and smarts to surpass those two above. Murray hasn't impressed me that much and I would prefer Rielly over Maatta and Ceci. Haven't seen Reinhart enough, so I can't judge on him yet. Yakupov needs to improve his game before he's top 5 in my book.

Murray's looked like a top 2 defenceman, he's just been unlucky with injuries. I wouldn't call him injury prone yet either (all 3 were different injuries occurring in accidents).

But I'd say:
Murray
Forsberg
Galchenyuk
Trouba
Lindholm
Reilly

I don't think anybody besides Forsberg has had a season yet where they've definitely separated themselves from Rielly (and this is Forsberg's 1st season so I'd like to see how he does next year before anointing him the best player from the draft). Lindholm/Trouba/Galchenyuk all have had promising seasons in their young careers, but so has Rielly. Nobody has separated themselves as the top players in the draft, but I think we have about 7 players that have (currently) separated themselves into the top tier.

Murray
Galchenyuk
Rielly
Lindholm
Trouba
Maatta
Forsberg

Reinhart/Yakupov can still join this group, but Yakupov needs to get his **** together and Reinhart needs to transition to the NHL well. I have no problem saying Rielly could be the worse of that tier, but I think he'll be closer to the top than bottom (I think he definitely has the skillset, talent, build, and drive to be the best).
