get the feeling Sather will go after Shawn Thornton now.

Instead of Dom Moore?

****

With a $69M cap the Rangers need every penny. 700k savings of Dorse vs a rook had to be done.

I liked the guy well enough but it is a smart move. Didn't even think he was worth a 3rd.

Skille, Shawn Thornton, Maholtra are the guys we should be targeting to be on the wings of Dom Moore. Whoever comes cheapest for 2 out of those 3

are those your lines/pairs? If so, please no. No use wasting fast or Allen as extras all year and Diaz on the second pair is scary.

It's about time Dorsett is finally gone. We already have two players that take stupid penalties every game (see Poo and Kreider) we didn't need a third. He always gave a great effort and is a good guy by all accounts but he is an easily replaceable hockey player.

That defense is trash. You can't replace Stralman with Diaz.

In an ideal world, it's trading Nash and signing Iginla. We have the RW depth to cover for losing Nash.

Solid return for a spare part that frees up cap space. Smart asset management.

For those penciling Bourque into the lineup, I agree that he took a big step forward last year, but he's TINY. Could I see him in a Hagelin type role? Yes, maybe, if he continues to progress and the opportunity opens up.

As a fourth-liner? On a team that needs to INCREASE size? That might be losing it's biggest player?

Suboptimal.

Good soldier.

He's too small and too expensive for our restricted cap.

Like usual, slats and co. get more than he's worth.

A 3rd is great return for dd.

Good work. Now let's go get a centerman.

Thank God. Dorsett is a terrible player, and this is why. Opponent sends out tough guy. Tough guy takes liberties because we don't have anyone who can do anything about it. Dorsett goes out and immediately gets the crap beaten out of him. Opponent tough guy looks that much tougher. The energy guy is supposed to work FOR the team he plays for, not against them. This is why he became a better player in the post season when he wasn't supposed to fight. The guy would serve himself better if he stuck to forechecking hard and playing the body and eased off the fighting. Because he gets wore out like last years gym sneakers every time he drops his gloves.
