Split the series in MSG, come back and end it Game 5.

I'm very pleased to see the Canes at a point where we can play whatever kind of game our opponent wants and still find a way to win. Oh, you wanna slog it down, go into a defensive shell and let your likely Vezina winner win it? Well fine, we will gladly oblige, completely limit your chances, counter attack at opportune moments and cruise to a relatively painless 1-0 victory. Oh, and if you want to ramp up the intensity, by all means go for it, because fun and gun is actually the way we play it best.

Basically a pick your poison moment for the Rags and I'm not sure there is a winner for them. Last night was about as dominant a 1-0 (minus ENG) win as you can have. And now they know if they start cheating offensively we are more than capable of making them pay with any mistake they make.

Just take one in MSG, that's really all we need to effectively end this one.

The Canes did have a few close pings off the posts that could have made the scoring a little less anemic. Still, the tale of two series is a very intriguing at the moment.

My new converts want to regroup and venture into MSG. I am a little reluctant as I’d want to be more vocal in my Canes support and I don’t see that as welcome given the circumstances.

awesome...thanks for posting. Is the radio coverage on satellite or terrestrial radio (going to run radio alongside TV on Sunday)?

According to the Sports USA schedule (Link), no. There are 2 unannounced games for this round listed. Maybe Game 5, 6 or 7 (if necessary)?

If it's the same format that NBC Sports Radio had, they'll do full coverage starting next round. Forslund did the Winter Classic, so I assume that he's the #1. In the best case scenario, which I won't mention for jinx purposes, we would get to hear it through his voice.

The stream is freely available on their site and through the NHL app in Gamecenter. I do live out of market, so I can't comment on blackout issues.

Yeah, she pissed me off with her bringing up that he was put on waivers. The cherry on top of the cake is she didn't bring up his goal/ask him what happened on the play as you'd expect. f***ing brutal.

This is in the context of ESPN interviewing only Rangers during the 1st intermission 2 games in a row with an interview with Rod during play in the 2nd period despite the Canes being the home team in said first 2 games. It's almost like ESPN likes the Rangers more than the Hurricanes :eek3:
It seems to me like ESPN likes the Rangers more too

It's moving day in the Eastern Conference, and the Rangers are heading back to Manhattan. How are we feeling, boys and Summer?

I don't completely hate the espn broadcasts but their commentators really aren't very good. The play by play guy for this series is super boring. I am glad Weekes is getting on tv more though
Yeah, when Turbo hit the post they just went silent for like 10 seconds, trying to process what just happened.
Then continued almost like nothing had happened.

This whole Staal and Slavin convincing other fanbases their star top line is trash thing is pretty funny.

Slavin taking the puck away from 11 million dollar players like he's doing a magic trick will never get old.

This is the first post season I'm finally seeing that our defense is getting the respect they deserve. It may not always be pretty (except for Slavin) but they put on a defensive clinic last night. The whole team for that matter.

trying to insulate myself from any regret come road games where we don't have the final change, because depending upon what matchup the Rags take line vs. line, they're going to do everything in their power to pull the Staal line away from their top guns. I think if you had to ask RBA, the lack of preparation for that was a problem last series.

I do find ESPN to be the worse of the two new broadcasts this year, but I am glad they're on there for the most part. I find it hilarious so many are whining they love the Rangers. I read the Rangers threads after game one and many were whining that they love the Canes and hate the Rangers. It's almost like fans pick up on any perceived slight and let it fester. I guess if they hate and love both teams, maybe they're doing something right.

To be fair it has seemed like ESPN has been ranting about how terrible the Rangers are on faceoffs for the entire two games non-stop.

Again, for the zillionth time: the league needs a best "defensive defenseman" award, because the fact that Slavin will never be seriously considered for a Norris is criminal.

Maybe by some miracle he makes enough waves in his career that such a thing is introduced.

Well, I guess we know he'll make enough waves but by some miracle it's recognized at an appropriate level.

I am uber curious to see how we look on the road @ MSG. I'm not expecting such a crazy discrepancy like with Boston. But the games have also been really tight, so that could easily be the difference in a one goal game.

We'll see what Canes show up in NYC.

ETA: @MrazeksVengeance-- thank you for continuing to lead us down THE PATH OF VENGEANCE.
