1. ESPN coverage SUCKS. It's awful. The camera angles suck. The commentators suck. The PbP sucks.

2. Lack of scoring is.... concerning. I get we are 2 defensive style teams but, I feel like we are narrowly winning games we should dominate going into NY. And it's not Shesterkin. It's us.

Good wins and we needed to carry both at home, because again this was a narrow win. Raanta has earned everything but I still feel like he has not been tested or lit up. It also looked like he was laboring a little last night and in pain / slow to get up at some points. That is making me really nervous.

The shorty was justice for the utter bullshit gaming of the 4 min double. What a joke that call was. Maybe we can had out razor blades and guys just claim they are rando cut to get a call.

The PP is a big f***ing problem and it needs to be fixed. Last night looked good but once again, no finish. No score on a 5v3 is usually indicative of a loss. I feel like we are barely winning these games and this kind of performance will not win us the next round.

It'll be interesting to see how the Rangers try to play at home. It doesn't really feel like they're trying to play to their strengths but like they're trying to slow down an offensive juggernaut. Which is weird, cause the Canes aren't really that and can play this type of game as well as any team. It seems they'd be better off trying to outscore us at all costs, cause they might be able to on occasion.

Anyways, not the most entertaining games, but I'll gladly take two more like them if they're dumb enough to give them to us.

Very happy for Rants and Smith.

While I don't think it plays to the Rangers strengths I think this is how Gallant likes a team to play.

A couple years ago we had a hard time playing this way. I recall Tripp talking a lot about us getting comfortable in one goal games to be able to beat Boston. Who knew that wouldn't really be important.

Sometimes it's like in mma when you see two really good strikers match up and they spend the whole time wrestling to try and neutralize the other guys strengths.

With the number of Finns on the roster, you can't even make the "all Swedish, no Finnish" joke about it.

This lady with a birds nest on her head really pouring salt in Smith's wounds.

That wasn't a micro expression...that looked like he got punched in the gut.
Yeah, she pissed me off with her bringing up that he was put on waivers. The cherry on top of the cake is she didn't bring up his goal/ask him what happened on the play as you'd expect. f***ing brutal.

This is in the context of ESPN interviewing only Rangers during the 1st intermission 2 games in a row with an interview with Rod during play in the 2nd period despite the Canes being the home team in said first 2 games. It's almost like ESPN likes the Rangers more than the Hurricanes :eek3:
