I don’t think he has any connections. The streets guy on Twitter who has actually claimed something didn’t mention any names. He said his guess was kubalik+1st+minor piece but doesn’t have any names. And that’s a legit connected person

Lalimesmartian.

I think this guy is just capping.

did the martian guy actually say kubalik+1st rounder?

This feels like the most drawn out inevitable trade. I guess a long-term contract "should" get done in a meaningful fashion. And it's not like training camp opens tomorrow. Just our modern sensibilities of usually knowing most information as it's happening, I guess.

I don't know how seriously he should be taken as a source, but for what it's worth, he has explicitly said he has not heard any names. I think people are going off of this tweet, which is clearly just speculation.

Who the heck is this, just some random Twitter guy?

This is certainly quite the fantasy.

I think my favorite part was, "and maybe another minor piece."

If the Wings give Debrincat 8 per so they need the Zadina contract off the books to fit the cap ?

Assuming Kubalik doesn’t go back

Which begs the question why Yzerman would bend over backwards to help out Ottawa's offseason...
What really begs the question is why you insist on peddling this nonesense narrative that Yzerman would be the one getting bent over if the return is centered around a late bos 1st, a 3rd line/middle 6 player in Bergrenn or Kubalic, and a 3rd round pick, assuming Debrincant is coming over with a long term ext around 8m aav.

Debrincat would be by far the best player in that swap, a 25yo 1st line winger just entering his prime, locked in for the entirety of his prime on a team friendly hit, and addresses one of the biggest deficiencies the Wings have in being a goal scorer capable of putting up 35g+/75pts+ that your team sorely lacks and doesn't have in their pipeline either, with no injury history or concern being one of the healthiest players in the league that has barely missed any games in the past. Adding him to your roster is a major addition and gives our direct divisional rival a boost to our detriment.

But by all means, continue peddling the disingenuous line that Yzerman is gonna be bent over if that happens. If you want to be honest about it, you could say why should Detroit give up anything remotely decent given the predicament Ottawa is in and not settle for anything less of an absolute fleecing on the level of Zadina, 2nd and 4th rd pick some Wings fans were proposing earlier. But that would mean you'd have to argue in good faith, which im not holding my breath on at this point. This is very much in line with all the habs fans insisting that a swap of Dvorack and a 2nd is more than fair value for and an extended PLD from the jets. But by all means, keep at it.

Don't mind him. A player less than six feet tall once kicked his dog and he's convinced that Berggren is the next McDavid.

There are other players I rank higher than Debrincat for what I'd want Detroit to trade for. But it's not like they're trying to sign JT Compher until he's 33.

Oh wait. My bad. :D

That would be terrible for Detroit.

And what about your guy Soderblom?

Soderblom better not be on the table. He's a monster specimen that should not be available.
