I like this. I like Kuby so I’ll be sad to see him go, but we get a more consistent scorer. Sebrango has stagnated badly and I don’t see NHL upside. Maybe at best 3rd pair. And draft picks are overrated.
Worst case scenario is we lose Boston's unprotected 1st in 2025 and it ends up being high.Awesome condition on the 1st too, guarantees we don't get caught out somehow and give up a high pick. Honestly at this point I won't be surprised if we end up giving up our own 1st in the end. We may very well be in a better position than Boston at the end of the day.
Based on the return, I have to agree. In all seriousness, got to think ADB basically told Dorion the only team he’d sign with was Detroit, making it nearly impossible to move him anywhere but Detroit.

But if just one of us or Boston manages to make the playoffs this coming season we've gotten amazing value on this trade.
I’m no DBC fan but you’re on crack if you think Debrincat is anything less than 10x the player Kubalik is.Glad we kept Berggren. Wish it could have been Fabbri rather than Kubalik. Here's hoping coach uses him, otherwise we paid a hefty price for a shorter Kubalik.
Debrincat Larkin PerronCan someone map out our top and bottom six lines please?
Which is back-breaking for the Sens. Not only did they lose ADB, but they lost him in the division to one of the teams they're competing against for the next many years. That is something I don't think is being talked about enough. These types of trades never happen, and they happen even less with one team winning it so badly.Based on the return, I have to agree.
DeBrincat - Larkin - PerronCan someone map out our top and bottom six lines please?
This is not bad at all.love it
Debrincat Larkin Perron
Rasmussen Copp Raymond
Berggren Compher Sprong
Fabbri Veleno Kostin
I think Raymond should actually probably be the most excited. This should open up a lot for him with DeBrincat on the other side. One thing DeBrincat does at a very high level is the cross ice pass.Larkin must be so f***ing excited
I rather have Raymond on top line.DeBrincat - Larkin - Perron
Compher - Kasper - Raymond
Berggren - Copp - Sprong
Ras- Veleno - Kostin
They didn’t sign Compher to play him as a winger and Kasper doesn’t break into the team as a top 6 center. If he makes the NHL he likely starts on the third line rotating with Copp between center and wing.DeBrincat - Larkin - Perron
Compher - Kasper - Raymond
Berggren - Copp - Sprong
Ras- Veleno - Kostin
Feels like this is the first time in a really long time when are back to being buyers, and a destination players actively pursue. Biggest trade since Hasek?
I want to like this ten times because this is most likely definitely what happenedIn all seriousness, got to think ADB basically told Dorion the only team he’d sign with was Detroit, making it nearly impossible to move him anywhere but Detroit.
Like it a lot, but I liked Perron with Ras and Copp so I’d switch him and Ray.love it

Yea, ADB's gonna make Raymond a rich man this seasonI think Raymond should actually probably be the most excited. This should open up a lot for him with DeBrincat on the other side. One thing DeBrincat does at a very high level is the cross ice pass.
