I'm actually hoping they use Copp on line 2, and i cant see why they wouldnt, they spent a lot to get him, he's a possible Strome replacement so put him on with Panarin and Strome to see if theres something there between him and Panarin. Vatrano on the 3rd line with maybe Chytil and Motte looks alright too.

Even if he doesn’t go into f*** it mode he’s 22 and it’s plain as day he can be a 0.5 ppg scorer someday. Keep him.

I think there was a point during the season, it was a consideration but I'd guess Strome's ask is high.

Strome will turn it on here soon... he always does but it's these lows that are the issue... along with how he will show up in the Playoffs.

Copp is better at faceoffs which is a need. rather pay for that alone and he is more of a complete player.

Chytil can barely hold down the 3c spot, he's not anywhere close to being a 2c.

I think if we were going all in we should have come out of the deadline with a bonefide top 6 RW because it's fairly weak or atleast has players who likely aren't ready to take a top 6 role in a playoff series on the right side. Thats why id kinda like to have Copp there, and let Kakko drop down to the third line. We'll see what happens, hopefully it works out, maybe Copp comes alive with a change in scenery, we should be better than we were a few days ago but a lot of teams are, we'll go as far as Shesty takes us.

We definitely gave up a hefty price. But yeah I just don’t understand the problem with it. When you have a team playing like it is now that price is definitely worth it. We never know what next year can hold.

Yeah, I have ZERO expectations for Strome being a playoff performer. Dude seems to buckle under the slightest pressure. Hopefully now that the TDL is past he has some weight off his back, but in the back of his mind he's gotta know his days in NY are numbered.

In July we didn't know Blais would be out for the year, Kakko would be hurt and we'd be in a great playoff position. Options change.
