I should have probably mentioned that I have read V for Vendetta, Watchmen and Dark Knight returns. I will check out the others though.

I wouldn't mind Marvel recommendations either, if you guys have any, especially if Marvel has any graphic novels in the category of V or Watchmen.

My Favorite Marvel Graphic Novels are:

The Punisher: Welcome Back Frank
Mutant Massacre
Spider-man: Kravens Last Hunt
Marvels

Inferno
Wolverine
House of M: Vol 1

The bolded are my favorites by a lot

Any recommendations for graphic novels I should read as a lover of superhero movies and the DC universe in general? Trying to get into some
These 3 are the best DC superhero ones:

1. Batman: The Killing Joke
2. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
3. Batman: Year One

The more and more I think about the plot of BvS, the more and more I think that people were spewing nonsense when they said that BvS isn't a sequel to Man of Steel.

Storytelling wise, it is obviously a sequel to Man of Steel. However, WB?DC have said that it's not necessarily a sequel to Man of Steel in the sense that it's not a solo Superman film. It is more of a prequel to Justice League than it is a sequel to Man of Steel. It's really a matter of semantics, though.

What's So Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?
For The Man Who Has Everything
Superman: Red Son
The Man of Steel
The Death of Superman
All-Star Superman
Kingdom Come
Flashpoint
Infinite Crisis
Aquaman: The Trench
Aquaman: The Throne of Atlantis
Lex Luthor: Man of Steel

The first three are the three best Superman graphic novels.

You seem set, but if you wanna go outside the realm of superheros - Saga, East of West, LOW, Sex Criminals, and Rat Queens make up some of the awesomeness coming out of Image Comics.

DC Films, as it's now officially called is looking very good so far. I'm most impressed by our first look at the Wonder Woman first film, actually. Obviously, Batman v Superman is going to be a big hit, and in all likelihood, Suicide Squad is looking like it will be a big hit too, but Wonder Woman is the film I was less sure about. However, Upon seeing what they are doing with the film, I like what they are doing with it. WB's patience is seemingly paying off.

Chris Pine has been casted into the DCEU as Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's love interest. He will first appear in Wonder Woman when the film is released in theatres in 2017.

Some DCEU fans may be disappointed since many thought he would be a great Hal Jordan. I, however, am glad that he is Steve Trevor, and not Hal Jordan, as the latter character is too similar to James.T. Kirk (his character in Star Trek).

Empire Magazine recently released these images of Batman v Superman:

Henry Cavill is just perfect casting for Superman. The same is true for Ben Affleck as Batman. Eisenberg of course doesn't look at all like Lex Luthor in that image, but since that is intentional, I can't wait to see his regression into the Luthor we all know. We know from the first promotional image of his character that he will indeed go bald sometime in the film.
I think the casting is solid, but I'm very worried that Eisenberg's Luthor is going to be trash because of writing. I don't mean things like the intro in the trailer (although that joke was awful), as I have no problem with a goofier public persona, but rather the "3 syllable word for..." line.

Could we get some colour in this movie?

I'm actually most concerned about the directing, as I really like Chris Terrio's writing abilities. That line was indeed a little "much", though.

I'm not bothered by the colour or lack thereof, though. I've never particularly understood that type of criticism, it could be due to my own ignorance, though, so could you explain to me what you don't like about it and why it makes the film less visually appealing?

Nice but still feel it's ten year too late....or maybe better late than never guess we shall see!

CG has come lightyears in the last 10 years. Outside of some junk like Green Lantern. Stuff like Avatar, Life of Pi, and the new star wars has taken it to another level. I think now is the perfect time.

That's enough time. They didn't want to venture to far from the holidays I imagine, but didn't want to go face to face with Star Wars. Month gives them enough time to be at number 1 before the public naturally moves on anyway.

Actually, the dates were leaked by reputable websites in fall 2014 when they announced their slate of DC films, WB just hadn't confirmed the dates, yet, I suppose. My point being that this has nothing to do with Star Wars. WB had this planned for well over a year now.

I didn't actually have much of a problem with the color of MoS (that movie was bad for other reasons) until I saw that recolored video on youtube. Just looks so much better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wP8sMb7ZA0

Interestingly, this article explains why you didn't have a problem with the colour:

They intentionally darkened the “Original Footage†portions of their video to make their horrible colorization look better.

Your comment about not having a problem with the colour when you first saw the film makes their lie all the more telling.

VideoLab actually virtually admitted to their lie, which you can read here: http://furiousfanboys.com/2015/04/videolab-admits-to-misrepresenting-man-of-steel/

They've since removed the video from their Youtube page. The link you shared wasn't from their account. The type of intentional hate some people have for MOS is strange.

Man of Steel has problems from different fronts. It makes the mistakes the Reeves movies make by making Jor-El THE reason Clark becomes Superman (instead of him deciding based of how the Kent's raised him). It adds that jesus symbolism that bother some. It isn't as bad in MOS in some parts, but its still there and Snyder clearly is very influenced by the Reeves movies still.

Other side is the death toll at the end, but everything I've read is that BvS is going to directly take on this part. Supes is aware of his failings and has spent the time skip making up for it and making his vow not to kill going forward, and saving as many people as possible (to the point that Bruce jokes Superman will save kittens from trees).

Snyder has been going to town arguing this, and he seems to at least be putting it forward in his movie. How well it comes across we shall see in March.

Point being it seems Snyder always had the intention to address what annoyed people about Man of Steel in the next film.

I don't disagree with anything you said. I was not suggesting that MOS was without its faults. I consider it an average or "okay" film. Nothing less, nothing more. The critical reviews seemingly agree with my thinking of the film. Nevertheless, the way some people talk about it--not referring to Serge--you would think that its the Fantastic Four or something. Some people despise the film in a very bizarre way, going out of their way to find something wrong with it, as I pointed out with VideoLabs video.

One thing, though, the Superman and Jesus comparisons are probably always going to be there. I'm not a fan of it, but I don't mind it, if it's done well. MOS didn't do it very well, but Superman did it fairly well for its time. Superman's creators modeled the character's origins after Moses, whose the Bible describes as what it referred to as a shadow or type of Christ. That's how and why the Jesus and Superman similarities started. Just wanted to explain that to people.

MOS had a lot of potential to be one of the better superhero films, but Goyer and Snyder are simply not talented enough to develop their good ideas into better quality than the finished product. Hopefully, the inclusion of Terrio and Affleck will change that this time around.

Empire magazine released this image of Bruce Wayne's nightmare scene in BVS:

Darkseid.jpg

Judging by this and the revelation of the parademons in the same nightmare in the comic-con trailer, it looks like Darkseid may be responsible for Bruce's nightmare, and is the villain in the Justice League film.:yo:

EDIT: Batman is standing before Darkseid's Omega symbol.
