Chris Pine has been casted into the DCEU as Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's love interest. He will first appear in Wonder Woman when the film is released in theatres in 2017.

Some DCEU fans may be disappointed since many thought he would be a great Hal Jordan. I, however, am glad that he is Steve Trevor, and not Hal Jordan, as the latter character is too similar to James.T. Kirk (his character in Star Trek).

Empire Magazine recently released these images of Batman v Superman:

Henry Cavill is just perfect casting for Superman. The same is true for Ben Affleck as Batman. Eisenberg of course doesn't look at all like Lex Luthor in that image, but since that is intentional, I can't wait to see his regression into the Luthor we all know. We know from the first promotional image of his character that he will indeed go bald sometime in the film.

He was born into a privileged family and managed to achieve greater success than his ancestors.

He is a polarizing figure; he is loved by many Americans, and equally hated by the rest.

He hates illegal aliens.

He is running for President.

Am I talking about Lex Luthor or Donald Trump? :amazed: Donald Trump should be the Lex Luthor of the DCEU. :naughty:

Still not a fan of Gal Gadot as WonderWoman. I really thought she'd bulk up more, but they seemed to have missed the whole Amazonian aspect of the character, and it's disappointing.

Gadot looks more like a waif than a warrior.

Gina Carano would have looked much better next to Cavill and Affleck imo.

She looks every bit like Wonder Woman, even though she is slimmer than most depictions of the character. And as much as some unfairly discredit Gadot's acting skills, she is a better actress than Carano. Gadot will continue to workout and gain more muscle. She's already gained a fair bit of muscle since her casting.

Disagree with that statement. Every bit? Nah. She looks doesn't look as muscular as WW has been depicted. I'm not sure she could put on the amount of muscle to look bigger, but I hope so. She has the height, where Carano lacks. However, 'amazons' aren't that slim, let alone the most powerful amazon. I like Gadot as an actress btw, but there's no way she's close to looking like WW's build.

Empire interview is starting to shed some light on how the movies initially connect.

Snyder saying that Justice League was laid out conceptually first, and all the other movies stem from that. That includes, BvS, Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, etc.

Batman has been being Batman for 20 years and is around 46-47 years old. He personally caught every single member of the suicide squad (the shot of him on the car with Harley in it is a flashback to him catching her).

The appearance of Superman basically rocks his world view and why he is super grumpy.

Clark and Louis are apparently living together now, and Aquaman has a cameo in BvS.

Lol at wonder woman not being amazonian enough. Do you see the size of those thighs? Those thighs could crush men alive, or during snu snu.

This is what the Wonder Woman should be:

Which one looks more like the 'amazon' that Wonder Woman actually reflects? Not sure why you found my previous comment 'lol' worthy either?

The more and more I think about the plot of BvS, the more and more I think that people were spewing nonsense when they said that BvS isn't a sequel to Man of Steel.

DC universe in general? Or published by DC?

DC's best graphic novels are not a part of the DC universe (IE Batman/Superman/WW/GL, etc.)

1. Watchmen - One of the best books ever created, not just graphic novels

2. V for Vendetta - Alan Moore with his 2nd best creation, absolutely brilliant dystopian graphic novel

3. The Sandman: Preludes and Nocturnes - The best fantasy Graphic Novel of all time. Plus John Constantine is in it

These three are far ahead of anything else DC has ever published in my opinion. Absolutely fantastic stories.

After those, you have some of the ones involved in the actual DC universe:

The Killing Joke
The Long Halloween
Year One
Hush
Dark Knight Returns

These are all the best Batman ones I'd recommend.

I should have probably mentioned that I have read V for Vendetta, Watchmen and Dark Knight returns. I will check out the others though.

I wouldn't mind Marvel recommendations either, if you guys have any, especially if Marvel has any graphic novels in the category of V or Watchmen.
