He’s not!
He's not...................what? he's not injured? he's not playing? what is it? You were so close to finishing a sentence that would have made things clear.

Swiss league is really good, I'm 100% comfortable with the fact Reinbacher will play be there next year. He have already top pairing minute and 1st PP unit, that's perfect for him. He is already very good in that league and he will put good numbers next year aswell. Perfect league to him to develop his offensive ability even more.

Can't wait to see his progression next year, I think he is a stud and even if I wanted a forward with that pick, I'm hype with the bulding roster future. That defensive group looks already insane on paper.

Seriously it's the first time in my life I see a talented prospect pool like that. People need to be hype about the future!!

There’s depth and breadth to the prospect pool but, Hutson aside, I don’t see anyone with elite upside.

It’s as question mark-y as a prospect pool/quite young roster player combo can get. Like there’s legit question marks on all of them. From Suzuki to Reinbacher.

But f*** if there isn’t a ton of promise there. I wouldn’t say the prospect pool alone. But in conjunction with the kids on the team, there’s a lot to be excited about.

For all his faults he has a Norris winning production pedigree.

They’re too different but potentially incredibly complimentary. They could form an insane duo. Oh yeah f***ing Guhle too
Will we be bottom feeders when Hutson is supposedly going to win his Norris? Because if not, no contending team is going to be able to play that guy many minutes unless he drastically improves 3 elements of his game. That is a very tall order, probably only achieved in fantasyland.

Yes. All our picks are always going to be elite until they’re not. I don’t think Beck is elite at anything, he will have an NHL career most likely, but I’m not sure there is much upside there. I don’t believe there is tbh.
I would put his skating very high. Iq and FO will be a solid strength. Heavy shot… just needs a more offensive role over the ne t year or two. I’m super high on him and see him as a Danault type player

Poehling was overrated from the start. 4 goals in a game at the WJC during the qualifying round and then two slightly below PPG season in the NCAA. He was a good prospect but no where near #1 for any quality prospect pool. We were just desperate for talent
He played with his brothers a lot of the time in the NCAA. And his brothers were not very good. Looked like he could be good enough to be a scoring line forward on a non playoff team. Don't think he had the right attitude though.

Beck looks like he'd be a Jay McClement type player.

He can put up points, but his faceoffs and defensive ability will be huge.

Thats what I see his potential as.

Despite not putting up 50+ points ever in the NHL, he was good enough to get some votes for the Selke.

Might want to read that first sentence again!

It's better than in years past, but this prospect for how much they've sucked isn't as impressive as it should be, so gotta wait and see what becomes of any of the prospects.

The first true test is this year in the A and Slaf with hopefully a more healthy season for him and the team.

Why? He’s got injured once. Doesn’t mean anything for what’s next.
We throw around terms like ‘superstar’ and ‘elite’ rather freely here. How many superstars do you actually think we have at any one time in the NHL? Yet we have a poster predicting seven on the Canadiens alone. I understand we live in inflationary times but is there a category higher than Superstar?
