Seriously it's the first time in my life I see a talented prospect pool like that. People need to be hype about the future!!
Reinbacher is a way better prospect than Hutson. There’s depth and breadth to the prospect pool but, Hutson aside, I don’t see anyone with elite upside.
We have Caufield a potential 50 goal guy- Slafkovsky a potential PF- Suzuki a top C right now. So 3 POTENTIAL superstars up front.
The D had 6 POTENTIAL superstars...let's see if they can do what we need.
I agree9 potential superstars on one team? Holy crap, here comes a freaking dynasty for the ages.
I think most of us would be happy if only one of them turned out to be superstar.9 potential superstars on one team? Holy crap, here comes a freaking dynasty for the ages.
If Cole can stay healthy and pot 50 goals next season, that's your superstar right there.I think most of us would be happy if only one of them turned out to be superstar.
For all his faults he has a Norris winning production pedigree.Reinbacher is a way better prospect than Hutson.
It’s as question mark-y as a prospect pool/quite young roster player combo can get. Like there’s legit question marks on all of them. From Suzuki to Reinbacher.Seriously it's the first time in my life I see a talented prospect pool like that. People need to be hype about the future!!
That is a big if.If Cole can stay healthy and pot 50 goals next season, that's your superstar right there.
He's pretty small.That is a big if.
Will we be bottom feeders when Hutson is supposedly going to win his Norris? Because if not, no contending team is going to be able to play that guy many minutes unless he drastically improves 3 elements of his game. That is a very tall order, probably only achieved in fantasyland. For all his faults he has a Norris winning production pedigree.
They’re too different but potentially incredibly complimentary. They could form an insane duo. Oh yeah f***ing Guhle too
Poehling was trending well until he had that concussion. There was a large contingent on this site that felt the same way about Danault. The best was those that were saying Ryan Poehling was good enough to bump Danault down and make him expendable. Good times, Ryan Poehling, Habs future superstar.
Poehling was overrated from the start. 4 goals in a game at the WJC during the qualifying round and then two slightly below PPG season in the NCAA. He was a good prospect but no where near #1 for any quality prospect pool. We were just desperate for talentPoehling was trending well until he had that concussion.
I would put his skating very high. Iq and FO will be a solid strength. Heavy shot… just needs a more offensive role over the ne t year or two. I’m super high on him and see him as a Danault type playerYes. All our picks are always going to be elite until they’re not. I don’t think Beck is elite at anything, he will have an NHL career most likely, but I’m not sure there is much upside there. I don’t believe there is tbh.
He played with his brothers a lot of the time in the NCAA. And his brothers were not very good. Looked like he could be good enough to be a scoring line forward on a non playoff team. Don't think he had the right attitude though.Poehling was overrated from the start. 4 goals in a game at the WJC during the qualifying round and then two slightly below PPG season in the NCAA. He was a good prospect but no where near #1 for any quality prospect pool. We were just desperate for talent
Beck looks like he'd be a Jay McClement type player.Yes. All our picks are always going to be elite until they’re not. I don’t think Beck is elite at anything, he will have an NHL career most likely, but I’m not sure there is much upside there. I don’t believe there is tbh.
Naw, he was never much good imo. Never had any elite skills. That’s what I look for and he never has any.Poehling was trending well until he had that concussion.
Will be difficult to fit all those superstars under the Cap in a few years...9 potential superstars on one team? Holy crap, here comes a freaking dynasty for the ages.
Might want to read that first sentence again! Will we bottom feeders when Hutson is supposedly going to win his Norris? Because if not, no contending team is going to be able to play that guy many minutes unless he drastically improves 3 elements of his game. That is a very tall order, probably only achieved in fantasyland.
It's better than in years past, but this prospect for how much they've sucked isn't as impressive as it should be, so gotta wait and see what becomes of any of the prospects.Seriously it's the first time in my life I see a talented prospect pool like that. People need to be hype about the future!!
Why? He’s got injured once. Doesn’t mean anything for what’s next. That is a big if.
We throw around terms like ‘superstar’ and ‘elite’ rather freely here. How many superstars do you actually think we have at any one time in the NHL? Yet we have a poster predicting seven on the Canadiens alone. I understand we live in inflationary times but is there a category higher than Superstar? Why? He’s got injured once. Doesn’t mean anything for what’s next.
