Watch it be David Fischer No.2.

It's f***ing unbelievable, I swear complete madness, how this team cannot draft elite offensive talent in the top 5.

Thank god for smurf Caufield dropping to us at 15 in 2019, he is truly the only hope of this franchise to ever get a PPG player in the near future. The level of collective depression on this board without him would be unreal.
They just trade for an elite talent in Newhook.

Great. He scored like 10 points against the worst team. Good player but he’s not as infallible as everyone makes him out to be. Can’t wait for Reinbacher to shut him down.
The worse team… which was better than the best team face by Bedard. But even if you don’t think this is true, remove those and he still had a very good season.

Shocked that we went with a blueliner. Wanted Mich. Would've made the Nashvile trade for Askarov and the picks.

All that being said... I hope this guy is a stud for us. I hope we look back on this as a great decision.

Welcome to the team!
What trade? Once again, someone starts with a scenario and people run with it. The only thing that was said was that Askarov was available, that's it.

Not even a chance. He's an NHLer... the question is just if he can develop into a 1st pairing guy. He's almost a lock to a be a Top-4 guy

Looks like a safe bet to make the league.

Will he develop offensive skills ? That’s another story.

Not a fan of the pick as we desperately need some skill upfront but it’s nothing against Him I think he will be good.

If you want to go that route, Reinbacher had a great season against better competition than Bedard as well. So I’m not really sure what you’re trying to prove.

I’m making a post now that I’m home in the hopes that this ages well and I can clown on people

In retrospect this will be a great pick. Big RHD who will be paired with Hutson or Guhle one day and will be one of the best pairings in the league

Lets wait and see how that turns out, shall we. I hear a bunch of these comments at every draft and every trade, then people come back with "I guess I'll eat crow" as if it validates them for acting like a big baby the first time around.

Fair enough, but its also fair to point out that we did not go BPA and that could very well turn out to be a massive blunder. Educated guess,no one knows for sure.

I had such high hopes for this draft first time in such a long time thats its a really deep draft and we end up with a second pairing or third pairing man and a reclamation project in Newhook - Habs management bought the magic beans again.....again.....again
