I will support the kid 100% even if I had 3-4 guys ahead of him at 5.
My take as wellPass on a possible all star winger for a sure thing top 4 D that could be a #1RHD. It is what it is. I would have drafted Michkov but I understand their decision.
So I assume we rush him right into the NHL next season?
Hanafin 2.0I did have Reinbacher ahead of Leonard but not drafting Michkov hurts. They better be f***ing right that Michkov won't translate/come over here and that Reinbacher becomes a Heiskanen/Seider. A #4 dman would be a disaster of a pick for #5.
They just trade for an elite talent in Newhook.Watch it be David Fischer No.2.
It's f***ing unbelievable, I swear complete madness, how this team cannot draft elite offensive talent in the top 5.
Thank god for smurf Caufield dropping to us at 15 in 2019, he is truly the only hope of this franchise to ever get a PPG player in the near future. The level of collective depression on this board without him would be unreal.
The worse team… which was better than the best team face by Bedard. But even if you don’t think this is true, remove those and he still had a very good season.Great. He scored like 10 points against the worst team. Good player but he’s not as infallible as everyone makes him out to be. Can’t wait for Reinbacher to shut him down.
Wouldn't be a bad thingThey might put him in Laval.
We'll love him when Michkov will dominates the Habs for years...Not excited about the pick but we’ll all love him when he dominates with the Habs, just like Guhle.
What trade? Once again, someone starts with a scenario and people run with it. The only thing that was said was that Askarov was available, that's it.Shocked that we went with a blueliner. Wanted Mich. Would've made the Nashvile trade for Askarov and the picks.
All that being said... I hope this guy is a stud for us. I hope we look back on this as a great decision.
Welcome to the team!
Not even a chance. He's an NHLer... the question is just if he can develop into a 1st pairing guy. He's almost a lock to a be a Top-4 guyWatch it be David Fischer No.2.

Interview on Sportsnet he said he has one year he has to do of schoolingThey might put him in Laval.
If you want to go that route, Reinbacher had a great season against better competition than Bedard as well. So I’m not really sure what you’re trying to prove. The worse team… which was better than the best team face by Bedard. But even if you don’t think this is true, remove those and he still had a very good season.
Maybe Price was trying to buy time so that Hughes could change his mind.Carey Price…..and maybe the whole team….shit the bed there.
Habs were impressed when they found out Reinbacher wasn't willing to bomb his teammates.
Lets wait and see how that turns out, shall we. I hear a bunch of these comments at every draft and every trade, then people come back with "I guess I'll eat crow" as if it validates them for acting like a big baby the first time around.
Currently Swiss NL is 2nd in Europe, DEL is 3rd. Based on CHL (Champions Hockey League) rankings.Maybe he's our Seider? What's the difference between the Swiss-A and the DEL? Reinbacher put up a lot of points, more than Seider in his draft year.
I see a great pair with the Habs: Rainmaker and Haymaker.I like the pick, but
If Michkov pans out, Rainmaker better become Hedman level or else this will look super bad.
He literally said he's going to play in Switzerland and finish school right after we drafted him. They might put him in Laval.
