Prospect Info: David Reinbacher - Laval Rocket edition

I feel the success of the rebuild relies in part on this guy. We need a reliable minutes munching RD defenseman, a steady force. If Reinbacher hit well, we might be a top contender for the duration of our cup windows.

Yeah, Hutson is already one of the best PMD in the league and Guhle has IMO been one of the best defensive dmen since around Christmas

If Reinbacher can hit while being a mix of both, the Habs have the top 3 D of a contender for sure

He went from safe steady RD pick to a risky one because of his injuries. Some ask if his ceiling is compromise. It's all good questions but we didn't know at the time of the draft. And we don't know in one, 2 or 3 years.

Discussions here the last 2 years I remember Runner saying the 24 year draft was a strong one with defensemen*1. And we picked Demidov that year. And the 23 year was a good year for forwards. And Habs picked the first/best D of that year. Runner was very logical but Habs did the inverse. Is logic should be the main lead in drafting strategy or the best strategy is to adapt the best of the moment?

If we recap the last 3 drafts Habs had 3 very good forwards in Slaf, Hage and Demidov*2 and they got possibly a top end RD.

*1 Yes for one defenseman but the rest of the top 6 were all forwards. So it wasn't really a good year for defensemen. Unless Habs draft #2 in 24.
*2 We can add Beck.

Having a top 3 with Hutson, Guhle and Reinbacher is hugee for the team. Guhle and Reinbacher need to stay healthy and everything will be fine.

I really like the core we have in defense, these 3 will be very solid for many years to come.

They used my patella tendon to reconstruct my ACL.
I'm not sure why they use the hamstring.
Depends on each individual, there's no clear superiority advantage for either over the other in terms of what the science says, although patellar tendon grafts apparently tend to be a bit more stable. From what an orthopedist told me, the choice depends on certain factors such tendon length, if you're an athlete, etc. So both are ok actually, from what I've seen hamstring is more common.

Still a downer that he’s missed a lot of prime development time, but he should be able to overcome it. Does it negatively impact how ceiling? No one knows.
It’s all about if problems keep coming up consistently.

As of now, he’s certainly not in the Dach degree of worry. Doesn’t mean people can’t be worried a bit. Not saying that.

But again, as of now he’ll be fine I’m sure. Dude was flying when he first came back. If he gets past this and doesn’t get into much more long term injury problems in the next little while I don’t see his upside being hindered.

Any recent sightings of this elusive creature. He’s rarer than a Tasmania Tiger, with just as many rumours that he is still alive and well!

I think he will be fine too, but another long term injury could really change the projections.

FanDuel has odds on Reinbacher getting hurt again, 3:1
I should take those

They used dire wolf dna but it’s closer to an altered grey wolf than a dire wolf. Just like the proposed mammoth will be more closely a current elephant variant than a true mammoth. Cool, but not a true clone.
Ok... but back to my original point..... what are they waiting for to resurrect that knee????
