Hughes would be smart to allow this guy a season or two to truly learn and develop at the AHL level. Absolutely no need to rush him.

Excellent read
24-25 Next season in Laval, 25-26 Season after up and down, 26-27 full time duties

How true...........the Slaf haters have all gone, and some even took their HF accounts, and went home!

In todays world for some reason there is no compromise of middle ground...............there is right and wrong, not sure when all this happened?

This board has some terrific hockey minds, who do NOT work in the field, but love to judge it.
We must bash someone, and Slaf proved people wrong, we are now kicking Orville?
I wanted a forward too guys, this kid is going to be a very good Dman.
For anyone who hasn’t seen the player extensively and who has concerns from reading certain prospect reviewers, I see nothing wrong with reserving judgment or even expressing cautious optimism depending on how much reliance is placed on said reviewers.

Just my take but I enjoy reading all opinions.

So the supposed stay at home, shutdown D is going to be paired with our best defensive D, as they had to move Bisson onto Barron's pairing because the Trudeau-Barron pairing was getting smoked out there. Once Bisson was paired up with Barron, you could see Barron starting to turn it around a little.

Also Houle said they may dress 7 D since it's 3 in 3 days. Norlinder has been playing his best hockey with Galipeau so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes with 7 once or twice there.

Nowhere land
At the rate things are going, Michkov might be driving a tank in Eastern Europe in the near future 😉

This management group did a good job handling a top draftee in Slaf and likely also learned a ton in the process. If that’s any indication, Reinbacher is in good hands and chances are they’ll do the right thing.
You mean he will not be 'chaperoned' by Galchy?

This guy will fall in love with MTL after his first shift in laval , 10k full packed arena for an ahl game , we can be a bit intimidating can't we haha hope he's up for the scrutiny
Business as usual for Reinbacher. The new Lions arena has a capacity of 12k and sold out every other regular season game, surely every rivalry game vs Kloten. Postfinance arena in Bern is even bigger. Also, crowd in Switzerland is definitely louder than NA crowd. In NA, hockey games are events with mostly even crowds whereas in Europe (at least in Germany, Switzerland and Eastern Europe) there's a real fan scene with so called ultras or even hooligans. Streetfights or even fighting inside the arena between those groups are more of a regularity than an exception. Whole different passion than in NA. In Switzerland, even smaller crowds are loud as f***. Check this out:

The media is gonna be more difficult to handle for Reinbacher. There's nothing like this in Europe and certainly not in Switzerland.

Weren’t Reinbacher’s home games played at Stimo Arena, 7,624 capacity? Were the team’s home games well attended?

I'm with you man that's always been a pet peeve of mine.

Out of town please or even better go to the board of the team where said player now resides because you can be sure I won't be reading it.
I still hear about Kost, shoul have had someone looking out for him instead of out with hammeredlick and the mob. There were worse drafts taken before him like Zerdev and Michalek plus the three ring circus of gainey and goat just before they blew up the team.

It's also kind of silly to make a 24-month plan for a player before they've even logged a minute of ice time in the AHL.

What value would there be in just deciding he needs two full years of gestation at the minor pro level? It may well be true - it often is a good thing for a young D - but we have know idea how Reinbacher will respond and develop over the next calendar year.

The amazing thing about a lot of the people I read trashing Slafkovsky and trashing the pick is that several of them freely acknowledged that they had *never seen him play.*

What would possess anyone to share their opinion on a player - and take a real adamant stance on the player - even though they've never seen them play?

I've been here a very long time and I've seen all kinds of really wild hot takes, and often, it's pretty obvious when someone hasn't even seen the player in question, but they are still giving you their (hot) take, but in this case, I saw multiple people freely admit that they hadn't seen him play! It was bizarre!

I'm pretty sure he played in the Red White game.
If that doesn't indicate how Hockey Mad this City is nothing will.

Perhaps but no way should he be rushed. I have a feeling it will take a couple of seasons for him to be ready.

Is there any indication that they would rush him? I know that many claimed Slaf was being rushed and yet look at how that turned out. I don’t know, I would tend to trust the org on how they bring along Reinbacher unless they gave a reason not to.

He actually played 2 pre-season games and had 1a too but people don't seem to remember he played any of those games lol

His 1st pre-season game at the Bell Center changed everything for him he said not too long ago actually
