So if the rumors are true of Pastrnak at $11m that will take the cap down to $8,937,500 (with the bergy and krejci bonuses included at $4.5m total).

So the B's will have approximately $8,937,500 to fill:

1c, 2c, 3LW, 3RW, 4LW, 4c, 4RW, 3rd pairing RD, swayman.

No way around it, Bruins will have to move some money out this offseason. The question will be is freeing up $6.8m by moving Reilly and Gryz going to be enough? Moving those two will give the Bruins $15.6m in cap space, but also create two more spots to fill (Lohrei and a cheap veteran around $1.5m maybe?)

I dont know, but expect a crazy offseason like we havent seen for the Bruins in a while.

The guy is connected from his work at both stations. Guy isn’t going to torch his career lying about something.

We shall see what happens.

That’s a great point. You’re putting a lot on the line here for your credibility since he’s not known for anything like this.

Hopefully it’s true. Give me Pastrnak for 8 years!!

Who even knows anymore

If there is anyone I want to be wrong on this? It’s this f***head.

Someone is right, and someone is wrong. Always the case when it comes to these things. But I can guarantee you that there are a lot of people out there who saw the original tweet and now have "sources of their own".

My DM's on Twitter are full of messages asking about other's tweets. I chose not to respond because I don't know. But I take them all with a grain of salt when I don't.

This is going to be an epidemic across much of the NHL with the cap remaining relatively stagnant over the past few years.
