I'll be very happy with 8/88. It may hurt during years 1 and 2, but it will be a steal in the later years when the cap rises.

8 x 88 for an elite goal scorer that will be in his prime for most of those years is a steal and a hometown discount, especially given that the cap will likely go up quite a bit during the duration of an 8-year deal. 4-5 years from now it will look insanely good when we are seeing elite players sign for substantially more than 11M per. Of course that is predicated on Pasta continuing to produce at an elite level, which I see no reason why he won't, barring injury.

I almost cringe every time he scores knowing he's still unsigned lol. I need them to square this extension away already!!!
