Any progress Sweeney might make on signing Pastrnak gets negated once the Bruins play the next game.

Sign the kid.

If Anaheim or Phoenix lands Bedard he will come as well as the money. Boston is against the cap and can’t sign em on a 8x8. Anaheim and Phoenix As well as Sabres can offer him what he’s asking. Which is likely a 10 million dollar contract.

Like I said. You’re sleeping on the bottom dwellers who just need that one piece.
If he doesn’t sign by the end of the playoffs, you can have his negotiation rights for those 2nd rounders. In season? There is nothing Anaheim can offer to get Pastrnak while games are being played this season.

Edit: Also, lol, if Pastrnak was going to take 8x8, he would have been signed half a year ago. 10M and all of us Bruins fans will be ecstatic. You are delusional, if you think he will sign for 10M to play on a bad team.

Even if there was progress he wouldn’t say anything. Just the way Sweeney works, tight lipped. I hadn’t seen anything at all about Zacha negotiations and boom he’s signed

8 years takes Pasta to 35 years old. I think we will see a front loaded contract as much as possible with a very fair cap hit. Once Pasternak is involved it be good, he wants to be here. He wants to win and Bergy and co have shown him the way by being team friendly. 11.11,11.11,11.11, 8.88,8.88,8.88,6.66,6.66. 73.29M - 8 years. 9.16M annual cap hit. Maybe I am crazy.. we will see. Maybe it goes to 75M. I absolutely do not want a 12X8 deal nor do I think that happens.

Pastrnak traded during THIS season for a couple of second round picks may just be the stupidest, most absurd proposal I’ve ever seen on these boards. What a f***ing disaster of a conversation. Good lord.
I think the poster was saying after the playoffs and he isn't signed and if it looks like you won't be able to sign him, then you can trade him for 2 seconds for a team to get negotiating rights for next year onward.

Not to beat down further on that poster/conversation topic - but I think you’re wrong. If you read that convo from the beginning, the TDL is mentioned multiple times.

I apologize for bringing it up again. It was just too… flabbergasting for me to sit on it. My intent is not to drag it out.

I am not going to get excited either, but Stewart's sources are generally very good. This probably belongs in the sports radio thread, but the best thing about the show is that the quiet, string-pulling producer is connected while the two contrarian sportswriters are less connected. There is a neat irony there.

Anaheim has money. Most in the league when it comes to cap once Klingberg is traded. Could we possibly see a sign and trade with Anaheims seconds this 23’.

He makes so much sense from a Anaheim perspective.

Bedard - McTavish - Pastrnak

Right shot Bedard and right shot Pastrnak. I can’t wait for the deadline. Anaheim has money and we’re gonna spend it with this draft year.

Thank you for reading! Appreciate it
buddy, the Bruins have a real chance of finishing the year with the best win % of all time and going on a last Cup run with Patrice Bergeron & David Krejci. They are not trading David f***ing Pastrnak. Just go back to your board.

lol he even predicts that the Ducks are gonna be aggressive at the deadline! A bottom 3 team! dude talks about a rebuilding lottery team giving up draft picks at the deadline to get better while also assuming they'll remain bad enough to draft Bedard. Just nonsense on so many levels.
