Pastrnak does not have a concussion. He had mild pain in his ribs (maybe bruised?) and he said he should be playing tonight.

Edit: Got my info on saturday, I guess he's still gonna be out tonight. I'd expect next game to be his return then.

Really stinks seeing him go down. He has been glowing with confidence and you could see it in his game night in and night out. Hope he comes back and looks as if he hasn't missed a stride.

Was that hit along the boards Id say, weird angle, real jarring hit. Can't remember which game it was, Columbus?

Was that the one where he skated away barely putting pressure on his leg? I remember that and one when he looked dazed after going into the boards.

Currently owns 22.4% of all Bruin's goals scored.

Some players owning similar totals
Crosby - 23.3%
Laine - 20.3%
Ovi - 23.1%
Scheifele - 18.7%
Moulson - 18.4%

The rest of this team needs to start helping out with putting pucks in the net desperately if they want to do anything.

What I want to happen. What will actually happen is he'll get traded for scraps

Even sadder is he played 5 less game then the team, so what is his goals per games he was in. So I checked, cause I have no life. Bruins scored 49 goals total. Pasta missed 5 games and 9 goals for the team so he was there for 40 goals which is 28% of the goals scored, when he was playing. Crosby also missed games, one more then Pasta. Pittsburgh scored 62 total and 49 with Crosby, he scored 14 = 29%. All the other guys played in every single game. So its Crosby then Pasta. Ovi is a lot further down in this regard. To round it off Pasta is scoring over a quarter of the goals per games he is in.

Pastrnak has scored the only Bruins goals in the last 151:01 of game play.

Some numbers sum up the Bruins too perfectly. 11-10-0, 49GF, 49GA. 4-5 at home. 9th in East.

And now your stat.

I can't think of any more stats that point to exactly what this team is: A below average playoff DNQ too good to bottom out but not good enough to make the playoffs, part III.

If you don't count just the games they played in but the entire year, is Pastrnak on top over Crosby?

Man its almost 3 here, thats more math lol. Those others guys did not miss any games, so it was an advantage for Pasta and Crosby. You did it correct it is 24.48% as you said and Crosby did not score tonight so he is at 22.6%. So with total goals Pasta is #1. Wow kid is going get paid

He probably will be traded its just what we do with skill players like him.

Imagine him with Kane and Panarin, guys that can score and take passes and make give and goes. Bergy is off this year and Marchand has cooled his production. They are missing prime passes from Pasta that are pretty much tap ins. He could have a lot more pts and if he played the PP and was not afraid of making mistakes half the time under Claude In an open system he would be up with Sid. That pass yesterday Spooner made to the front of the net, Pasta gets that and wheels it on net. Beleskey just ties up his man and does not get open, that is an example of high skill that Pasta and Spooner needs to be with to take it and us further.

Yeah, 8 years will keep him motivated. How's that Krejci contract working out?

Apples to oranges my friend. Two different players, Krejci injuries, Krejcis age, etc.

Besides, 5.5 or less @ 8 years could literally be a steal towards the end of his contract. Prime example would be the Savard deal pre-injury.

Wrap the pasta up in a to go box now!

A quick and dirty article on Pastrnak

http://www.thescore.com/news/1165011

And this was before he scored again last night.

He won't hit 60, but right now he's on a 60 goal pace over 82 games. Insane.

Many here are calling for the total tear-down rebuild of the Bruins.

But when you see this production, and you realize that there are less than 16 months separating Pastrnak from last year's No.1 Auston Matthews, makes a full-on, tear-down rebuild seem kind of foolish.

You can find terrific players in the mid-to-late ranges of the draft. The Bruins aren't the only team to have done so. Bottoming out is no guarantee of success, the guarantee to success in a cap system is simply drafting and developing well no matter where your picking.
