Perhaps Mr. Krejci already knows he's going back to the Czech Republic to play easy hockey as a returning hero with pockets full American dollars to count in his spare time.

id say FL to live it up and play hockey in the sun. Im sure Krejci is scrooge mcduck is really counting his money. such a nonsense character smear of a life long bruin

I don’t have a link, but I do recall him mentioning a few years ago that his goal was to finish up his hockey career back home. I think it was around the time when Datsyuk did the same thing.

Things change over time of course, but thats at least how he felt then.

With me , good for him for making stupid money but at the same time it looks to me he's already checked out. If he could be moved I would do it in a heartbeat.

He will not be a factor on the Bruins outcome this season. The team is just not good enough even when 100% healthy to be considered a cup run team.

Need a GM that is smart enough to see this and sell off some expiring deals, take advantage of a possible market for him.

unfortunately sweeney isnt a cunning and shrewd enough to make any sort of max value of his assets. Maybe some team will help him out though at the deadline and take that asset from him for their cup run

Ha yeah sure thing - there’s sure to be a glut of 1b centers available
They’re not winning a cup this year or next, so you might as well have a one-year stop gap and try and go after Barkov next summer. If Sweeney signs Krejci to a multi-year deal and Barkov is available, he better be prepared to deal Krejci, hope Bergeron retires, or prepare to tell Bergeron “no thanks” if he wants to come back. They need to prepare for the next wave.

If FLA gave Bob a huge UFA deal there is zero chance they let Barkov go...this is like when other teams boards said the same thing about Bergeron, It's not happening.

DeBrusk Seattle

Boston Globe today Matt Porter

Jake DeBrusk, who would be a candidate for Seattle if he’s not moved, could make sense in a deal for Dunn, or with Anaheim if the Ducks, a regular trading partner for the Bruins, would surrender lefty D Hampus Lindholm.
Fluto said Sweeney is scared of trading Jake. Additionally, Jake is going to be protected, so there is no possibility of him going to Seattle. Smith is the one who will be in Seattle next year.

If Krejci still feels that way I can’t blame him. No one has been screwed over more by Sweeney’s mediocre FA signings, draft picks, and trades at forward than Krejci. He hasn’t had a complete pair of wingers for the last 5 years or so.

Well as long as he has the same number of Krejci apologists, all will be well.

i think Krejci will find some talent to play with, have a good year and then youll say it doesn't count bc he couldn't turn mediocre talent into stars. I feel like Ive seen this scenario recently in another sport

I like Krejci alot. I get on him because he doesn't play as well as he can or should. Remember that half dozen games this year he looked all world? Same shitty linemates he always has. Well, it's an effort thing. When he decides to factor in, he's elite, when he doesn't well he's overpaid. It's really ok to say Krejci doesn't bring it enough all year...if he did he would make these guys better. That's his job, I'm sorry you feel he's above reproach.

Interesting

his wife is from here (North Shore?) and he’s had 2 kids since that tweet

built a house in Carolinas

That was his mindset when he was already married a few years so very likely it’s here or there my guess

I’d love Barkov but I also go to the job I have rather than counting on lottery tickets to pay the rent.
