Not sure what vladar is worth but I can see flames not trading him just to make a division rival worse.
Well we are not going to do any favors for our biggest rivalry.

Yet I think there is a trade to be made here. In Calgarys favor. Has to be in our favor though. Meaning an over pay.

Calgary needs a right winger. Top six. Edmonton would probably offer Yamamota. I think Calgary would have little interest in another undersized forward. We have two players in the AHL that could replace Yamamota. Pelltier and Phillips.

I think Calgary would want Poolparty. This is an over pay by Edmonton. Needs to be an overpay.

Maybe a draft pick or prospect by Calgary gets it done. Add a player like Valimaki and Edmonton adds a 2nd round pick in 2023.

We dont need to make this trade. Not a huge fan of poolparty.

I am sure Edmonton fans will hate this. Calgary fans too.

To me a fair trade would be Vladar and Valimaki for poolparty and a second round pick.

Gives Edmonton a starting goalie and a possible top line dman that has had a lot of injuries. Kid is a stud when healthy.

We thought he would be a top line dman. Edmonton thought poolparty would be a star too.

Anyways discuss.

I am perfectly happy if no trade happens.

Edmonton gets a starting young goalie, Possible top line dman. Calgary gets a possible top line right winger and a draft pick.

Good goalie depth should be worth much more than a middling pick for a team trying to compete. Flames have very little reason to consider this especially given it being in division

Yeah.... Thats not happening. Zero chance the Flames help out the Oilers unless its absolutely massive overpayment. Oilers are bargain bin shopping, that much is a known fact, Flames arent going to help them out.

Flames have no need to trade Vladar. Wolf is good, but he also hasn't played a single NHL game.

I'm sure the Flames are just falling all over themselves to help the Oilers in their playoff push.

I don’t see either Calgary or Vancouver helping a division rival

Taking Halak is helping Vancouver . We have made it clear we don't want him or Allen or Price .

Vancouver is trying to clear cap no one is helping them out without them paying threw the nose .

Am I doing it right ? It what you say about everything Oilers related .

Whether Halak is moved or not it doesn’t really matter. It’s different when moving from a position of power VS. a position
of weakness.
