Pretty much summed it up perfectly.

If this **** happens again next year, and Dan is still a coach, Shero is fired. Which is exactly why I believe he would get rid of Dan to have a little bit more job security.

I know some people don't believe that. I'm not one of them. IMO, if Bylsma stays, then Shero is on the hook fully for whatever happens next year.

Exactly.

I can't see Shero hitching his wagon to DB any longer. Because if he keeps him, and we fail. They are both gone imo. He's gotta know that.

And, I think it's got to be a simple question with DB, really the same one for Fleury: Do you trust him not to **** the bed again in the playoffs?

I mean, I don't even really think the conversation needs to be that long. In the last four years, we've won 3 series (only one of which has come past the first round), blew a 3-1 series lead twice, and went down 3-0 twice.

That's not acceptable. It's time to move on.

One would think. But, for all of the good things about him, Ray Shero sometimes shows as the disciple of David Poile that he is.

Still no real rumblings... Not sure what to make of that. Though if I was a betting man, and I'm not, Bylsma is back. We would have heard something by now if it was going to happen tomorrow.

This also would mean I'm going to care a lot less about the Pens next season. I probably won't be around as much either.

I approve of your user name onion knight. Keep speaking your mind and calling it like you see it as Davos himself would.

Haha Thank you.:handclap: Will do. Yea def my fav character in GoT, one of the few honest and honorable characters left.

So conflicted over this.

****ing guy has so much potential to be a top 3 coach but like every alpha male, has a couple of stubborn attributes that prevent him from being exactly that.

If he doesn't get fired, hopefully a day like today, where the powers that be are discussing his very fate is enough to teach him some humility, and that its okay to get out of your comfort zone.

I'm not saying he will be fired, but I don't think not hearing anything proves it one way or the other.

Someone could even counter that if they supported him as the coach, they would have said so by now.

If Bylsma stays on next year, then I don't think ownership is as interested as they're saying they are when it comes to winning championships. Maybe just turning a tidy profit is their motivating factor. Making it to the conference finals assured them of that, and maybe that's good enough for them.

There isn't really anything to say, hes under contract for another year, it would be weird if they had an announcement saying hes coming back.

I was wondering, does anybody know if Burkle was a hockey fan before he bought the pens? does he know the game? I don't think Burkle the business man would fire DB, hes gotta be happy with the sellouts and ratings.

#TribHKY >> Shero pushed hard for Bylsma extension, and presented #pens owners on Malkin financials. Story to update soon.

Uh oh.

I will lose some respect for Shero if he sticks with Clownsma.

Same. I will also prepare myself for the "The Pens Got Eliminated, Who Will Our New Coach and GM Be?" thread that will happen next year. Because the ending will already be written, the only unknown part will be how Bylsma is comically bad and who he misused the worst.

Please don't be an idiot, Shero... and upper management.

Seriously, if Bylsma gets an EXTENSION, ... I need to think about what drastic measures I'm going to threaten. Let's start with: I'm going to stop being a lovable troll. That's only step one.
