Speculation: D'Amico: Connor Hellebuyck trade talks. Florida (or Toronto/Buffalo)?

You clearly have no idea who Lundell is or what he meant to those Cups

& you more often than not win a Cup with rubbish goaltending than with elite
Is .906 and .914 goaltending "rubbish"? That's what Bob put up in the two cups

I feel like Oilers fans would dispute the bolded

Take a few minutes and google "survivorship bias"

They love Lundell in Florida and he wasn’t willing to give him up for Tkachuk

Who’s a 26y lower tier superstar player, doubt Zito is a guy then who fumbles and gives him up for 33y goalie

Why are we talking Brady Tkachuk?

I think... if that is who is calling a low tier superstar I would agree.

I thought he was talking Lundell
Yes he was talking about a 26year old lower tier superstar. Brady Tkachuk.

Anton Lundell is 24, and might be the league's best third line center. Which is why, for someone who we should not be that keen to keep, he gets asked for when negotiating deals for star players.

He is widely highly regarded around the league.

Carolina won with 3rd string goalie, Colorado won with one of the worst goaltending we’ve seen, Vegas won with below average goaltending, Blues won with Binnington whom no one thinks is elite

What have Helle, Shest and Sorokin won?

& again 59 points in 60 games

Rip the bandaid off already. Clearly when there’s smoke there’s fire.
He is sick Of constantly shit roster.
I don’t blame him.
So am I.
Maybe this will help fill a couple of the many holes this roster has.

Is Florida allowed to trade the 1st round picks in 2030, 2031, 2032?
The NHL allows teams to trade draft picks up to seven years into the future. As of the June 2026 offseason, the 2031 and 2032 drafts fall within that permitted seven-year window.

Bill about to empty the 1st round clip :D

They say goaltending is overrated but I think if Hellebucyk was with Edmonton , McDavid would have 3 Stanley cups by now but they have always settled for Get By goaltending and he doesn't have any Cups. It has been their downfall for 10 years. As a Jets fan , I'm a little worried about replacing Helle as Comrie sucks so I would like to see a promising young goalie come back. I think Buffalo, San Jose, Montreal could be in the mix and be able to send a young promising goalie back and a center is probably high on the wish list. I know goaltenders , you don't traditionally over pay but in this case for one of or maybe the best you do. Montreal trading Patrick Roy is somewhat regarded as their worst trade in franchise history.
