Weekes compared him to Brent Seabrook…he seems to be still interviewing for the GM job with the Hawks

Kidding aside, he’s be a good choice.

More than a bit of a reach. This’ll surely be non-controversial.

6’2”, 194 lbs.

Nolan Allan at eliteprospects.com

A reach for sure. But I bet he reaches his ceiling as a #5 defenseman or maybe even a shutdown guy like Niklas Hjalmarsson.

Best scenario he's a #4 defenseman and worst he's a #6 but definitely a grinder. Once development kicks in they'll likely be able to get him signed on a Stillman type contract.

I don't hate it. But we have three third round picks. I just hope Stan doesn't reach for Colton Dach in round two.

#5 is a joke. And at worst he's not a #6, he's an AHLer.

Scott Morrow and Kirill Kirsanov are gonna be top 4 defenders.

When Chibrikov becomes a star alm the GMs in round one who passed on hom will look stupid ...Stan the most because no way is Alan in the same league of BOS talent as Chibrikov to impact a game.

Alan has therefore gotvyobdrvelop into a McDonough type shutdown D ...else if he is notcablecto fill that role at the NHL level he will be just anotger guy 3rd pair dman unable to really difference make or a guy notveven hoidcenough to have s king znHL career.

The TV analysts compared hon in style to Seabrook except Seabrook in hos younger days brought a 2 way D efenseman game as he had offensive production as well as defending and create clearing Nikita...Alan has no offense shown to date..so he has to be great at shutdown...or else!

I found it amazing Chibrikov was still there to take and even more amazing we took Alan as a first round when at best he is 50svto 69s or even later.

I honestly do not know why Stan shoukd keep his job.

And Seth Jones had better work out to a $9.5 value ...or else we are again albatrossed ...because if Seth Jones does not live upto his pay value then what Stan have up to get hom was way too much will set back the Hawks for years and years.

Stan trying to atone for hus heavy bet on smallish pmds that he gave up on way too soon ...now changing direction for bigger morevphysical D ...but if that still cannot het us back to a zcup, you them must ask Stan to leave ...case he keeps nesdibg it up.
