Started with team economies suffering due to covid, however now there's not much of an excuse but when the ball started rolling... Sigh.

If I remember, some hockey people saying that SHL has the best TV contract in hockey in all world, even better than NHL. The same people promoting SHL club crowdfunding campaing for player´s salary. I do not get it ... are SHL clubs is great shape (economically)? Finally, the same hockey people envy the KHL clubs their big budgets. I believe Sweden has great companies with lots of money, just convince them to sponsor hockey with tens of millions of dollars!!! .... instead they are asking fans to sponsor their players´ salaries

A fairly common occurrence with some teams here in Sweden.

Outside of their planned player budget. MoDo have done great financially over the last years with CEO Widebro at the helm. With planned arena improvements (sound and light systems) they are asking sponsors and fans to mitigate the risk of increasing the player budget. It's optional for everyone.

Modo fan here whos happily sent some money. Rather it go straight to the club than be split with some sportswear outfit company from the fan shop.

Norlinder is done and will be confirmed whether or not they reach their funding target. He has been practing with the team for some time even before this.
