Less than Bean and Clague?Maybe, just maybe, the coach thought that he was NOT capable defensively as the other 5 D-men on Canada WJ team.
Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Not if you consider that they will spend more time in the zone due to breakout efficiency.Mete, Timmins, Foote, and Fabro are better in their own end though...
This opinion is actually incredibly misguided. The best defensive players are the ones who push the puck up the ice consistently, not the ones who can’t deny the opponent access to the d zone but look like they’re trying hard once it’s been swarmed. These things are not unrelated; perceived proficiency in one area is usually a sign of deficiency in the other.Playing in the O-zone and playing in your own D-zone are two completely different areas. I'd take Karlsson in the O-zone 10/10 times if we had the f/o there, but I'd take Vlasic 10/10 times if we had the D-zone f/o.
He also scored again in the Saturday game. Up to 3G 9A for 12P in 18 GP.
Probably because the Olympics and the fact that it means nothing to you doesn't make it a farce. Too bad Makar didn't goWhy would he want to go to these olympics when he could spend that time with the team he actually committed to play for this season? A team that relies on him heavily to lead a ton of young players in a pivotal role; where he still has plenty to learn and who have a lot of work to do if they want to make a real run next season.
Why would he leave that team yet again to participate in a second rate farce of a hockey tournament? Do we get mad at players for not representing their country at the Spengler Cup? So why should we care about this tourney?
Why should anyone care about which corrupt organization runs this second rate ice-hockey tourney?Probably because the Olympics and the fact that it means nothing to you doesn't make it a farce. Too bad Makar didn't go![]()

How is that relevant here? Those olympics had the best playing the best. Calling the talent pool at these olympics second-rate is a compliment. The 80 million people who tuned in to the Vancouver Olympics mens final?

I give up man, you're not going to get it. Regardless, I would have loved to see him play but so be it.
And what if he wasn't? Would you agree that Makar should be on that team then? I find it hard to imagine they would ever ask him if they didn't let him play with his strengths, first in a smaller role and if he succeeds, grant him a bigger role. Ducharme was stubborn man and if Team Canada didn't win gold, his first mistake would have been not playing MakarChances are, you wouldn't. Makar was going to get the same treatment as he did in the WJC as a #7 PP specialist.
It's playoffs right now, correct? Because the situation makes it so much better.
I hadn’t seen this angle. Walked them all
ill just leave this here
