Obviously. This thread is about Cale Makar, not Nylander and blockbuster trades that make no sense.

Think outside the box.

Barrie's biggest value is on the PP. If Makar could replace 75% of that, Nylander would make the Avs a lot more dangerous overall.

People are still saying this?

Either way lets let Cale finish this season, collect his hobey baker, and then ease him into the NHL lineup with Samwise & Barrie ahead of him as he gets his feet wet.

Makar added a few assists this weekend, now up to 11 points in his first 6 games this season (3 goals, 8 assists). It is quite the pace, but I don't expect him to maintain this level of production over the course of the UMass season.

If he falls off to around p/g what are some comparables from past years? I'm having a really hard time finding defenders scoring at that pace their sophomore season. Most were Juniors or Seniors by the time it clicked.
