Yeah if all healthy we would definitely not look bad on the paper. Hope it will work together this year again, three medals in a row would be insane for our youth hockey standards lol. But rather lets not get ahead of ourselves. When we think something looks good, it usually fall apart completely lol.

I already wrote it here.. I consider it quite probable that Badinka will not be nominated. He plays regularly in the league, but again he is not nominated? Why? This year he did not play a single match for the national team, he was always "injured". I don't believe in coincidences. I really think that the Badinka-Augusta relationship is broken, there are more than enough of those signals.
I'm also not sure if Mrtka will make the team. I'm not saying it can't happen.. But he had problems in the extra league and he will probably go to the CHL.
Overall, I agree with Mr. Zmrhal (or whatever his name is) that this year it is not on paper for a medal. Although I thought the same thing last year. But last year it was such a small hockey miracle. We have a better chance in a year..

I'd argue the next 3 teams look good tbh.

I get NHL doesn't want galvas because of a projected small frame. But that doesn't hurt him playing teenagers. The other 3 have great size.

Then you got a battle for bottom pair and number 7.. port, fibigr, Mrtka come to mind. Koci as well.

Can't wait for the injuries to pile up.lol

Every so often they give him a few seconds and it keeps working. The other one was a shot from a similar spot and rebound to MacK - he's pretty good so Ivan got an assist.

Last night, a regular was temporarily injured (eg. in change room or something like that) and Ivan got the shift.

He may be the Czech story of the year for us in this little corner of the internet.

Maybe Vrana... time will tell.

If he stays in the first team for the whole season, that would be great. They have some injured players. But on the other hand, fans write that they would like to see him as 3C.

If he stays all season I will do a happy dance! he is young so the potential to get a higher role is still possible. I have not read a single fan shitting on him.

Things that stand out to me in the NLA

Vozelnik has scored 8 games in a row

The Euro Czechs are beating the former NHL Czechs.

Sklenicka is encouraging as a potential EHT and World's guy (I'm not a fan but most are)

Felcman is very encouraging to be honest. He's 19 and near .5ppg in a very good pro league!

As a sidenote... we have some Czechs doing very well in adult leagues before the World Jrs. That could be very useful!

Kulich on line 3 with McLeod today... it's funny because that is exactly what I wanted from the start.

I love McLeod... super fast and a labrador retriever of a hockey player. Perfect guy to pair with Kulich! They are similar to me excpet that McLeod never found that next gear in scoring and I think Kulich does have that next gear. Having said that, McLeod has scored in 4 straight I believe.

Anyways, happy with this!

He's 20... in top 9 and getting looks.

He got some great minutes and didn't score despite playing well. I'm okay with it. Just need him to stick all season and develop. Not be sent to AHL for playoffs and to World's for us after a decent NHL season.

Then he can win the Rocket next season.

Oh well Buffalo 4 goals so far and Kulich again nothing yet. I must say I expected he will do more with the minutes he gets, of course not expecting having straight ppg like Michkov for example, but atleast 3-4 points from those 9 games I expected.

Now we cant blame it anymore on Buffalo not giving him a chance, or not giving him proper ice time, or them not scoring goals cause they are scoring plenty of goals lately.

Idk he is still 20 of course and in NHL which is good, but after how he looked last two years in AHL and NT I expected kinda bigger start to his NHL career, Especially with the generous space he is getting so far from the team.

Hertl and Necas are killing it! I saw Necas twice this week and he looks unreal out there. Such a unique style of game.

Zacha/Pasta are due for a little regression to the mean and a few more points. Palat is getting Top 6 minutes to start the game... he needs to do more.

Kulich needs to get a point soon.. he's got healthy scratch written all over him. Buffalo is giving him lots of looks with good players so I can't blame Buffalo at all.

Jiricek being benched for Harris and Johnson is just upsetting.lol I think he's look good and the fancy charts look good.

Goalies are a mixed bag.

Dostal is amazing but Anaheim is rebuildling and those numbers will go down IMO
Vladar has looked great but .904 doesn't scream that. Rittich has 3 wins but a .874. Mrazek has looked great everytime I've seen him but here we are.
Vejmelka is firmly in backup territory instead of a 1a/b situation. Vanecek is playing well but on a weak squad.

Still waiting for Patera and Dobes to join the list!

Zacha, Palat and Hronek need to really start putting up points. Biggest disappointments so far this season in that regard.

Kulich didn't started good, but on his thread a read a surprisingly lot praise and that the points will come we will see.

I've thought he was the most effective player in the Kulich-Cozens-Quinn trio and him moving to McLeod was more about trying to use Zucker to get the other two going. By the end of the game, he was back with Cozens and Quinn. He and Quinn getting dirty around the net caused the GWG since it went off Petry's butt while he was trying to box those two out. Real subtle job at the dot (only 11 taken, but 63%) and I love how his work at center shows in how he comes back to protect the slot and net front defensively.

It gets worse, Kulich is coming out of the lineup tonight in Buffalo per the morning skate press huddle. Undeservedly IMO. I understand it and I don't agree with it.

Not too surprised. Don't really blame Buffalo. I assume it's a 1 game and watch sort of thing. Hoping it's not an AHL demotion coming in. He's doing great things but he's got 1 point in, mostly, a Top 6 role. He's been surrounded with very good players too. Sucks though!
