I would much rather come in here and read how shit Kulich is playing despite producing at PPG rate.

Not too surprised. Don't really blame Buffalo. I assume it's a 1 game and watch sort of thing. Hoping it's not an AHL demotion coming in. He's doing great things but he's got 1 point in, mostly, a Top 6 role. He's been surrounded with very good players too. Sucks though!

I've thought he's been the most consistent member of that line but nothing has gone in for Cozens and until the last game, Quinn was mostly invisible all over the ice. I suspect when Benson comes off IR, Kulich assigned back to Rochester is the move they make even if I don't agree (I think they should waive Bryson down to the AHL instead).

I think it's a tough punishment. Zadina admitted to the charge but asked to reduce the suspension by one game because he didn't elbow LeCoultre on purpose. I completely believe that because the initial impact was Zadina's back hitting through LeCoultre's body. As he turns and pushes away he smashes his elbow into LeCoultre's head while looking away.

I agree it was an accident but players safety in their explanation said that it doesn't matter because there was head contact and Zadina's responsible for it.

I think a fine would have been enough here.

Interesting. I haven't seen it but prefer this approach over rule 48 in the NHL where you can justify a headshot from a guy like trouba. I'd be told to watch women's tennis on the mains lol

He's on top pair with Hamara. So that should help. Him back is very exciting. Both our young studs eating nachos makes me want to f***en scream! I get 'sit a game and watch' but Jiricek has played 2 games in the last month. He's playing as much as his brother who wasn't cleared to play.lol

Not good about Sale.. his start is also a nice surprise!

Using NHL contracts only (so no Euro's, has to have an NHL 2 way or 1 way contract and be in AHL or NHL)... Here is my roster

Necas Zacha Pasta, Chytil, Kampf, Nosek, Palat, Kulich, Vrana, Ivan, Lauko, Faksa, Blumel (13) and my extras are Klapka and Sale (for experience as I think he'll be at the Olympics the following year, so bench his ass but get him practicing with the guys)

It'd be a classic top 6 and bottom 6 type scenario but we have a lot of size, speed, faceoff guys, good special teams and Pasta and Necas can carry a hell of an offence (I'd split them up) as they are both line drivers while Zacha and Hertl are more complimentary. Chytil is a line driver but I'd make him a 3C and hope he outscores his opposition.

Hronek, Gudas, Rutta, Jiricek is my top 4 - filled in with Kral, Spacek and Svozil for the bottom pair and spare guy. Pressbox is Hovorka.

Dostal is the starter followed by Mrazek. I am fine with any of Vanecek, Vej, Rittich or Vladar as the 3rd goalie. I'm a big fan of all of them and don't see a massive difference between them.

If I were allowed Euro's... I'd only want ones with a lot of international experience and success.. I would toss in Cervenka on top line with Pasta. Sedlak in bottom 6. O. Kase in bottom 6. Stats be dammed, I'd want Kubalik as he always plays great for the NT.

I'd also look at a more experienced Euro D to push some of our AHL kids to the pressbox - someone like Krejcik (boy was I wrong about him) or Kempny who have gold medals (and a stanley cup) for experience.

And, since I'm on it.. f*** gary bettman

I don't fully understand this one... he is drafted by the Wing's.. shouldn't they just asssign him to the AHL???? Is there a WHL option? Is that still on the table?

Becher doesn't have an NHL contract. Redwings have to sign him before they can assign him.

Becher could return to the WHL but he'd require both an overager and an import slot. PG would have to trade Viliam Kmec to make space or find a new home for Becher.

I have no idea. Becher is a free agent. He can sign anywhere.

Since he's on a tryout with Grand Rapids I assume that's where he's now. If he's in the States I think that's plan A. If the plan was to play WHL or somewhere in Europe then I guess he wouldn't have signed that AHL tryout. The ATO gives him access to team's facilities, coaches, trainers etc so I expect him to train and work out with the Griffins for now and eventually play some games when ready.

I thought the same thing.. watch Jiricek get benched for Columbus playing like shit. I watched to start and the first 2 goals were really bad plays by Werenski/Provo.. they got lit up twice to start the game. Also, Caps looked damn good in that first. They were playing beautiful to be honest.
