Someitmes I am DEAD wrong on a player... like not even close. Kaut is a great exmaple of this. Hajek is another.
Let me add to this list.. I didn't even think this was an option.lol

Very happy for him.. This will be his 34th NHL game for his third NHL club. Leafs are deep.. I'm honestly very surprised.

I think Keefe is testing out depth options as teams tend to need fresh bodies in the playoffs from time to time.

Zohorna played well in a very limited role. Scored his goal, didn't look too out of place.

Kampf is your better countryman on this roster though. I also believe that Kral will be a full time NHLer one day too. Whether in Toronto or not is hard to say. We have 11 NHL quality Dmen right now.

Any chance you know why Kral doesn't seem to be playing much? Injured?

Edit: kampf is underrated beaut! He'll never get 50 points or lead a Skoda Cup in scoring but he can help a team win a cup at any level.

This is by far the deepest team the Leafa have had in decades. 11 NHL quality Dmen is a huge change as is the physicality and defensive responsibility of the roster. Core is the same. Supporting cast is massively upgraded. It's an exciting time, however an extremely tough division. We will see what happens.

I'm an Oil fan and feel the same.. we are in a weaker division (with a weaker team than leafs) but I like our first round chances against LA/Seattle/LV about as much as you like your first round against the bolts. Going to be some awesome TV watching coming up soon! I should also say.. I can't stand the Leafs but think everything they've done in the last 3 years has been great (and better than my Oil)... this first round thing is weird. I'm actually hoping they pull it off!

Optimist: Wow, lots of new guys with first goal this season!
Pessimist: Zohorna, Reichel and Jenik may be in Europe soon!

Man Necas stuck on that 69 points for so long now :( Hope he can get that 70. Still three games to go.

Edit: sorry under that 70, he got 69 game before, but it feels like ages since he was so close to 70 points lol

Not 100% but looks like Ra is right.

This is a bitter disapointment for me personally. He now joins a long pile of failed to make NHL D... I loved Musil, that wasn't happening. I loved Masin, that didn't happen. I liked Hajek and that appears to be very bad. I love Zboril!!!! And he might still have some hope but dude is 26 and is only playing because the Bruin's lapped the field and are rotating and resting guys. Klok tried and failed. Knot tried and is currently failing.

I mean, it's a lot of misses. Has is in ECHL. Krutil in Praha. No idea what happened to Kral.

His brother, Tomas, was also cut from U18.. not a good week for the Galvas family.

Also, it'd be nice if Hajek and Galvas were made available for World's! Instead they will be fighting for a Calder Cup before, most likeley, returning to Europe. The only good news that could've come out of Galvas returnign to Europe would've been that he's off to the World's at least! NOPE

You can hold out hope for Kral. He's well regarded within the Leafs organization. Has shown massive improvement over the past few seasons developmentally. Unfortunately he's missed a bunch of time this season with injuries. I expect him to play part of next season with the big club. He's one of our top D prospects and has a bit more of an opening now with Sandin being moved to Washington.

This is wrong.. Galvas's AHL team is not making playoffs and he has a contract in Europe for next season.. get his ass to Jalonen! It's actually decent news.

I keep looking and I generally only read positive things about him! Seasons starts and he seems to have good 'vibes'. TO goes to hell on D with injuries and he gets the call. Plays 2 games, falls on a spinorama (but got the plus) and he's basically never heard from again! I can't seem to find updates on his injuries or what is wrong. Agree that with Sandin gone that it gives him a chance. It's a very hard D to crack! Leafs are stacked.

Combined 25 games this season???? What happened to this player?

I believe it's been 2 separate injuries. Not 100% sure but he should be currently playing.

He obviously won't play again this year barring a wild turn of events. He's currently 12th on the Leafs depth chart with many ahead of him becoming UFA at the end of the year.

Leafs D depth:

Brodie
Rielly
McCabe
Giordano
Holl (UFA)
Schenn (UFA)
Liljegren
Gustafsson (UFA)
Timmins
Benn (UFA)
Mete (UFA)
Kral/Hollowell

That only leaves 6/7 guys who are signed next season ahead of him on the depth chart. I suspect they'll fill out depth spots again as they did this year. A good end to the season and camp could give him a shot at playing with the Leafs next season.

We're all hopeful he makes it. He's a big body that skates well and has a good 2-way game.
