Don't get me wrong.. I really wanted it to work out with the Avs but it clearly wasn't going well. Usually first rounders get a second chance based on 'pedigree' and SJ actually feels like a great place for a second chance!

Kulich and Rousek with 2 assists each in a 3-2 win for their AHL club. The played on the same line with newly assigned Vinnie Hinostroza who handled the center duties. Rousek was on for all three goals for, neither he or Kulich was on for any against.

Well, the Sabres forwards have been fairly healthy at forward so maybe if the schedule works out after the trade deadline he might get a look. They are also doing this weird thing in the standings where they are close to a playoff spot so that may impact them just giving people a couple of games as an audition that under other circumstances would be easy for them.

Oh, I would also be remiss to forget that Rousek is now tied for the team lead in points for his AHL club (29 points in 41 games) which while it isn't setting the world on fire is an indication of how his game has trended up this year. He's had a stretch where he hasn't had any points but has four assists in his last five games. I still think he should get a shot if Buffalo has significant forward injuries to at least assess his play for a couple of games.

I may soon have to get an AHL package as I have a lot of Czechs I really enjoy in the lower league.lol

Zadina is now scoring in the AHL
Vrana is on fire in the AHL now
Dostal is an all star in the AHL
Jiricek is an all star in the AHL
Blumel is doing very well in the AHL
I'm curious if Rousek (above) gets an NHL look this season
Kral and Galvas are in the AHL

Our AHL roster could be half a Skoda Cup team right now.

He's absolutely not an AHL player.. I'm not sure what they are doing here? Do they hate him? Is he being traded? Hit on Stevie Y's wife? There HAS TO BE MORE to this story.

I could see Hamarra going back to the Europe if he's not AHL ready next year if the Rangers don't fire their coach. He's not doing all that well, but whatever struggles he has are magnified by the abysmal coaching and team systems.

It was a good move for Krutil.

I hope he's in AHL next year... But we will see.

Another year in junior wouldn't be awful either... He will be 19

The Detroit Czechs have had a bad year.lol

Vrana into player assistance, comes back to go to AHL, to be healthy scratched in AHL to scoring in AHL to having his coach say he sucks in the AHL ('1 goal in a month in that league')

Zadina started okay, got playing time, got hurt (again) and is now a healthy scratch in the NHL

Kubalik was line 1 for the first few months, now line 4 with PP time

Bednar was our starter in summer at WJ's, he was awful and got replaced by Suchanek

Only Hronek is doing well out of all the Detroit Czechs.lol Gong show

I didn't follow Red Wings all year, what happened to Kubalik? I think he lead the red wings by scoring in the first few months, and suddenly he dropped to line4.

He stopped scoring, got shuffled down. Even stranger, he was running the PP last night against the Oilers.. eg. he was dishing it to eveyrone. Weird to me as he's clearly a finisher. Big fan, not sure why things are going 'meh'... good news though, Chytil just scored! He's on a hell of a streak!
