The game was still completely open after 2 periods. I don't want to imagine what was happening doing the 2nd intermission but the way the team started the 3rd period was disastrous. I know they started the period shorthanded but the penalty kill was absolutely terrible (which resulted into a goal for Slovakia), then they allowed another goal during their own PP (Hrabal? Really? That was a shot any average goalie from the Czech U20 league has to stop), and that was basically it, the rest of the game was about waiting for the final buzzer. While it the 2nd period the team was suffering from penalties but still was "in the game", in the 3rd period we saw frustrated, broken players with no confidence about their own skills, no system, even the basics of own zone coverage were lacking. I know junior teams are often fragile but the hell, that's what the coaching staff should be there for - to help the players in such situations. Augusta was standing there, dully gazing on the rink and saying nothing.
