The pressure Russia put out there near the end of the 2nd period was insane. They have locked us for like 3 straight minutes.

Wow I am starting to get frustrated and I could not care less about Russia winning.
But seriously, something happened in the middle of the second period and now they are playing constantly in the Czech third...the fact that they did not manage to score yet is unbelivable

Anyway this is a really good match. Quite physical and nice hockey plays.
Even though it seems that trying to skate with the puck into the goal instead of actually shooting may not be the most effective technique to win a game.

Off to a rough start again here.

Well when you have useless players like Plotnikov, Lyubimov, Telegin, Shirokov your going to have problems. Datsyuk looks like a ghost of his old self (well he is playing on a dead mans tendon). There is just no way that Semin or Kovy are worse options than those listed above. Why not Golyshev, Gusev (injured?) or others? Makes no sense. Those guys listed above aren't even top level KHLers lol you could select at least 10 guys youd ratherhave than them in the KHL alone IMO.

Nevermind the defense, your not going to win scoring 0 goals. Defense didn't cost them the first game.

Russia played well, made a lot of scoring chanses but didn't score. The puck just did not get in... And it's the 1st game. This loss won't let our team to relax. Well, I am looking with optimism in the future games.

Last year, Bobrovski was more of a weakness than a strength, particularly in the GMG. I didn't see the game, but apparently with the same number of shots, the Czech got a shutout, and Bobrovski did not.
