This game looks pretty fun so far. I'm just watching on stream but it's pretty much GTA 2077. Guy didn't even do anything and the police came out like STOP

Seeing a lot of backlash on base consoles but since I couldn’t get my hands on a PS5, I’m gonna chug through it no matter how graphically bad it is on my base PS4.

I bought it on my base PS4....if it looked like I would be getting my hands on a PS5 anytime in the next couple years the way supply is I would have probably waited. But figure I got nothing to lose if my system melts I probably would end up playing it whenever I get a PS5 anyways.

It's nothing like GTA. Nothing.

A lot of it is anal retentive crap because they want next gen performance on a nearly extinct console. I played it on Next Gen Xbox tonight and there were some bugs, nothing show stopping. The only gripe I had was that the game was larger than the screen area and no way to adjust it.

For a game that was made under covid conditions, this is pretty damned awesome and fun.

I'm on PC with an RT card and it looks amazing 2 hours in. I've been completely immersed in the setting. No bugs as of yet. I feel like a lot of people either hard insane expectations or are cheering for this to fail.

I'm coming in with none of this and these 2 hours have been something very different than anything I've seen in gaming, in a good way. If you're not an RPG/story driven game fan though this will not be for you at all.

Idk how much I want to settle on the base console performance. I watched some gameplay on the base PS4 and I'm not exactly enamored. It just doesn't look optimized at all and the streets look downright barren when you're in the car.

I don't have any immediate plans to get a PS5 or a gaming PC but I feel pretty bummed at the optimization for original last gen consoles. The city itself seems to look good but I'm seeing a lot of texturing issues in most other aspects.

So far about an hour in on PS4 and my only real issue is that it’s resolution is low. It feels like I don’t have my glasses on in real life but once you’re up close everything looks good. My PS4 is also very quiet so far. It’s playable and I will enjoy it but definitely lacking in the resolution.

Plan on playing it tomorrow on the series x, but I am very curious how much the day one patch addresses and if they will list detailed patch notes. Sounds like this game needed another six months, and who can blame them during the worst health crisis in a 100 years.

It looks and runs godawful on last gen consoles. I don't understand how it can be that bad when CDPR spent probably at least 80 percent of the game's dev time constructing it for Xbox one/PS4

That's inexcusable.

I haven't started it yet since there's no day one patch yet. I assume that comes tomorrow?

People playing on ps4 and expect to run triple a games in 2020 what the hell is wrong with you  What a waste to even make the whole game for ps4.

The PS5 is barely even out and this game was developed primarily for the ps4/xbox one generation. The real next gen console versions don't even come out until next year. It's on CDPR to ensure the game is actually playable on the systems they are releasing it for.

What a waste to even make the whole game for ps4.

I agree with that, they should have delayed the game another 6+ months and it should have shifted focus to next gen consoles a couple years ago if this is what they are putting out there on those systems.

I have probably put 3-4 hours in so far. Definitely a little bit disappointed. The bugs really don't bother me that much...but the world just kinda feels empty and shallow. Nothing in the world really reacts to you being there. I really haven't jumped into the story to much yet though.

The driving is absolutely unplayable on the Xbox One, had at least eight crashes and a half-dozen close calls so far.

Had another 4-5 crashes during regular gameplay too.

Looks cool but yeah, seems quite buggy as people are saying...on the ride home from the first mission there were palm trees artifacting all over the screen for me.

I've enjoyed the 4 hours I've put in so far.

It is a shame that with a 3600 and a 2070 Super that I can't play on the lowest RT setting unless I want to be under 50fps.

I'm going to hop back in and see if I can get it to run better.

I’m a huge fan of CDPR but every game they’ve ever released has been a buggy mess at launch and there’s no defending it. I, however, will say regardless of that, they’ve made some of the best games I’ve ever played from a gameplay and storytelling standpoint. I won’t defend the console issues but I will still enjoy the game

Hearing the resolution is pretty lack luster even on next gen hardware. Can anyone confirm?

They have not gotten proper next gen updates yet.

Cyberpunk 2077's full next-gen update releases in 2021

A more serious update will be available next year when the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions of the game are released. This one should replicate the performance of the next-gen games and will be fully optimized for those systems rather than just boosting the performance of the Xbox One and PS4 versions. It's also assumed that features like ray tracing will also be included.
CD Projekt Red has promised that this update will be provided for free to everyone, even if you haven't already been playing it on a PS5 or Xbox One X, so you don't have to stress out if you haven't bought the new consoles yet. You'll even be able to transfer your save data over so you won't lose progress on the massive game.
