Is there a way to get Time on Ice stats for Laval?
AFIK...nope. I was looking for it and it would tell me a ton about Vincents coaching but nothing to be found.

So the little bastid M has brought his game to another level. But without watching the game, I don't know how his defensive game is doing. Last game I watched he had 3 bad mistakes and 3 goals against.

He's pinching and I've seen him pay the price repeatedly. But I guess goals mean far more then a mistake. No one ever accused Hutson and Math of playing error free defense but everybody looks the other direction because of their offense.

I just don't know how Vincent was keeping him on an ultra short leash and now, it seems to have changed.

I wonder, did Vinny get a talking to? Cranking about his bs method of carrot and stick was so 50s and MTHead stupid. Hughes got involved? Or the telepathic emails got through?

Whatever...as long as M is starting to shine. We need an RHD offense first and defense first solution. So Rein and M can really round up or defense top 6.

Hutson-Rein
Guhle-Mailman
X--Engstrom or Carrier

Thanks. Not terrible. Struble can cover that.
After a slow start, Struble has hit his stride and will, with his mobility, size and underrated skill level, quickly become Laval's best defenceman. Even when Trudeau returns.

Struble is a significant upgrade over the career AHLers that largely populate Laval's defensive core.

I was wondering about him and the other Russian D. I think he’s in the VHL.
What about Sam Harris? I guess it depends on how long he stays in school.
No one from the CHL and I don’t see other college players (besides Fowler)
I don’t see a big influx of prospects to Laval next year. (I guess Reinbacher is included)
I think they need to sign some free agents. Some vets will surely leave (I see ABB, Hughes, Primeau, RHP (not sure on his contract), maybe Gignac). Not sure where Trudeau is on his contract.

Both Kostenko and Sobolev are in prospects in name only. I would be really surprised if they ever signed with Montreal.

February 12th they play in Ottawa against Belleville.

That's a Wednesday, otherwise I'd take the family to see them.

More than likely a way better game than Habs Vs Sens

Jared Davidson leads all forwards in AHL in +/-, is he good defensively or just a product of easy deployment. Feel good about him being a solid bottom 6 guy.

It's going to be another season where he gets around 60 or less games I guess. That's the drawback with being a small guy playing a very physical game.
Laval are small in the skilled positions. It's a problem. The players with some size have hands of stone.
How the heck can Condotta not have even one goal? Surely with all the time he spends battling in front of the net something should have hit him in the ass and gone in by now. He hasn't mastered winning the battle while keeping his stick free. Tuch is disappointing I thought he have more goals flying in off the wing and Xhekaj is just not dynamic enough on a regular basis he needs more of everything starting with speed.
I don't think this edition will do well against some of the bigger teams in a seven game series.

Oh come on! Same thing happened last year and the team just dies. Just once I’d like to have a team stay strong heading into playoffs. I wonder if Kapanen will be eligible if he comes over? They should have Reinbacher too I’d imagine.

He's a fair skater, has an NHL level shot, sees the ice well and plays a hard, physical game. Davidson rarely takes a shift off and has become a team leader in Laval. It would not surprise me if he is given a call up to Montreal, particularly if the season is viewed by Hughes and Co. as having slipped away.

I don’t think the stat is tracked at AHL level (seem to remember a post saying that here a while ago).

They do track it., but it is only available for the teams and organizations. They don't make TOI available to the public, which is something I don't understand.

I'm pretty convinced that there are 6 BarryBullets playing in Laval because i constantly hear their names.. Thankfully they all have a wonderful future with the Habs.

Mailman...boring meat and potatoes game. Played once about 30 seconds on the second pk and that was it for excitement. Without him is like the Habs playing without Math and Hutson. And just as effective.

Primeau...I discovered his weakness. Rubber pads. Everything bounces off him.

I got another game tomorrow...
