From Craig Morgan going over the auction:
Coyotes land auction primer: All you need to know on June 27
Coyotes land auction primer: All you need to know on June 27
Did anyone screenshot the clock when it was exactly 14 days, 00 hours, 00 minutes, 00 seconds?

editorial by laurie roberts saying meruelo is a billionaire cheapskate..

Arizona Coyotes' billionaire former owner is the cheapest cheapskate of them all
Opinion: Billionaire Alex Meruelo laid off his Coyotes hockey staff. Remember this, Phoenix, when he comes knocking with his hand out for a tax break.www.azcentral.com
Because the NHL webmaster removed the Coyotes page when the sale to Utah closed and failed to fix all the links he/she broke in the process.Hmmm wonder if that's associated with the 404 message I saw with this link....
Cant wait to hear how he spins this one. Dude was a fraud from the beginning, how the hell was he vetted???
Ok - Help me out here. They're just now determining this (in the 11th hour), and this couldn't have been put in place at the beginning of the auction process?
I mean, the link to the f***ing form is on the front page of ASLD's website under Applications & Permits
I must be missing a step I guess
Perhaps, but I think it's pretty clear that the NHL was prepared to turn a blind eye to a "fraud" in the longstanding Coyotes saga.Um….. the guy has several state and federal agencies that regulate and oversee all his businesses.
Can’t see them all just turning a blind eye to him if he’s such a “fraud.”
The request has to be made by December 31, 2027What's the clock at now? 4 years and 300 days?

I'm sensing a certain number of personages, to probably include the guy from Scottsdale who had some issues, all figured out a way to make this "go away."I think it will delay this by 5 months. And if they need to reevaluate the land it will take longer.
This could have been solved 6 months ago....
Not quite a cinch. More difficult obviously, but we don’t know the timeline.Well...that cinches that. There's no way Meruelo can meet the NHL's deadline.

He had to be 50% built on the arena to get a sniff. 6 months of no shovels is going to set that back big time. I can't imagine they call a special session to get him a special use permit. Plus you know they will open it to the public for any opposition stance. Not quite a cinch. More difficult obviously, but we don’t know the timeline.
