And somebody is sure to come along and say this book was really uplifting. We also would have accepted "it's a real gas."

This is far more entertaining than the bickering I usually see in this thread.
I came here for an argument. Abuse is across the hall. This is far more entertaining than the bickering I usually see in this thread.
How about “I can’t speak highly enough of it”?We also would have accepted "it's a real gas."

That's wasn't my point -- my point has to do with the combination of viewpoint and avatar choice. For instance, here you are with an avatar pic featuring a 2 dimensional Link. Do you hate 2D, or even 3D Zelda games with the fury of a thousand suns? I would assume not. That was my point. Not sure how it could be this badly misunderstood by multiple independent ppl, esp since the entire thought was accurately blockquoted in its entirety. Who cares either way I just think it's extremely odd, that's all.

Anyway speaking of blockquotes @Shwan in his above message said the following.
Upon review, it is completely reasonable to summarize the bolded statements as an argument saying that Desert Diamond is fiscally stellar / ie incredibly successful financially – what else can it possibly mean to ‘surpass (a) stellar fiscal record’? smh.
So no, I am not lying @Shwan, and furthermore, I don’t think any reasonable person would accuse me of lying. Which is part of the reason that imo not taking anything you are saying seriously seems like a good decision.
Feel free to edit your post.
XG is a liar, until proven otherwise. No further evidence than the obvious lack of previously noted "plan B" required.

Hehe.
You know what's funny is I had a nephew that loved this game -- which makes sense I guess, if multiple adults can cheer for teams as sorry as the Yotes, kids should be able to cheer for their favorite blond elf-wannabe even if all he's doing is shooting random things.
In other news, am currently reading a book about Helium. I can't put it down
Just a reminder that "record year" at Glendale in 2022 being gloated so much about included 28 Coyotes home games.
In related venue news...I'm sure some of the lowest attended games in Coyotes history really did it for ASM, huh View attachment 764918
God bless ya TL.So...... guilty until proven innocent.... such is megathread mantra so it fits right in here.
"Plan B" was to revisit sites they had looked at before getting locked in on TED.
Now if you want to pull back the power level on your microscope a bit....
TED took nearly two years of negotiations before it even hit the RFP stage. So how long did you expect it to take a "Plan B" to kick in? "Two weeks"???
Mind you they have to go back and reopen those negotiations, and in the time that passed, the odds of picking up exactly were they were before are shakey at best. It's possible.... but nothing I would hold my breath on.
Therefore..... we do we know now?
They have an LOI down for buying a plot of land in Mesa. There is a second site in "East Phoenix" that due to "statutes" can't be publicly discussed until the end of this month or early December.
It's only been 6 months since the TED vote.... doesn't sound like they're really dragging their feet here.
But since this is a Cardassian Tribunal the "asshats" have been convicted already.

Couple decades back I drove from WA to Phoenix (for JUCO football) and first stop when I got into PHX was at a gas station. Walked in and a guy was head to toe in Rattlers gear with a #14 Hunkie Cooper jersey on. Thought that was cool. Week later practicing in 100+ degree [dry] heat at 4pm for some unknown reason wasn't as cool.

NHLPA's Marty Walsh on the Tempe arena situation and other unrelated matters.
I hadn't known until reading this how the PA sizes the arena situation up.
