The guy on CNBC said " Announced crowd of 12,000. But you wont find 7,000 empty seats"
Announcer on CNBC clearly didn't look at the seats literally around him in the 300 level. The guy on CNBC said " Announced crowd of 12,000. But you wont find 7,000 empty seats"
Lol
yes, I'd love for my team to be named after something that requires google research
Literally nobody thinks of hurricanes when you say north carolina
The guy is either a massive idiot or a horrible troll. Either way, he's well earned the pile on he's gotten over this.Except those of who own coastal property and have to board up the entire goddamned house with steel shutters every September and October, except, mercifully, last year.
Oh, and BTW tonight at 8pm the Outer Banks HAM radio association, of which I am a member, has hurricane emergency reporting drills. Because it is literally such a problem I had to get a HAM radio license, radios, and a generator.
Your astonishing ignorance that causes you to have to google something notwithstanding.

Gotcha, and I completely forgot that they are still broadcasting games remotely. That makes sense. They havent been on site for a game. They are calling it from a studio. In their defense the shots they showed of the upper decks looked pretty full.
But no Buffalo.Next you’re going to tell me there are actual Sabres in Buffalo.
Why crowds are awesome for sporting events.

Why do I feel that part of you wants to walk up to that guy and hammer this information into his brain?Except those of who own coastal property and have to board up the entire goddamned house with steel shutters every September and October, except, mercifully, last year.

The limitation is based on NHL guidelines with regards to air filtration. They are limited until they get updated equipment. The limitations aren’t based on social distancing. If they can only sell 12k tickets, it makes sense to sell more expensive lower bowl tickets. I would imagine you have to be a STH in the upper bowl to purchase those seats nowGotcha, and I completely forgot that they are still broadcasting games remotely. That makes sense.
PNC arena has their upper level seats shaded black. Combined with a lack of lighting up there, you really don't get a good look of how empty it is, but yeah.... That upper bowl is still operating under social distancing measures. I'm guessing its 80%-90% empty

By the way. I checked the stats for Class 1 Hurricanes per state.lol, look at history much (clearly don't know the Coast very well)?
Hurricanes are an annual event in NC with Outer Banks down to Wilmington typically getting an annual visit that either hits or just skirts by.
Lately, the Southern Coast of NC down to Ocean Isle Beach/Sunset Beach has seen Tropical Storms and Hurricanes hit as well.
By the way. I checked the stats for Class 1 Hurricanes per state.
NC is second after Florida.
It’s still a morgue??? Jesus. I remember how silent things always were sounding back in the CEC days. Hard to make noise when you’re on your phone texting all game long I guess.
You’d think after 2 Cup wins since we left the Igloo we’d lighten up and get at least a little rowdy??
Not a good look when you need an air horn to get people to cheer.
