If they make the playoffs they will just fold and cave in. This team does not do well without the space of an international hockey rink has. Rangers should play in Europe. With all the pretty plays and more space that would suit their game. Like I said soft passive teams go nowhere especially when their is less space to do anything in the playoffs. Need to get faster and heavier in the corners boards and in front of the net. Enough of the overpassing. I want a coach that if you pass the puck when you're supposed to shoot the puck or dangle 3 players you get benched for being dumb on the ice.

You are done until tomorrow's game. This team has too much garbage playing right now and nobody is playing well. Lets see what happens.

In Hartford when they had a full squad under Knoblaugh and then carried on with Smith the Pack would work the puck deep and all four lines would have a man net front.
The only time we see net front here is Kreider when they have the man advantage.

Not with Igor playing this way they can’t. Right now it’s looking like that run was our ceiling. Everyone knows deep down this roster isn’t good enough. They need a shakeup. Is there a Sean Avery out there?

Exactly. For a young team, maybe that's still relevant, but for a veteran team and core, everyone is a year older and one year further into the back 9 of their careers.

I'm all for the idea of getting healthy and then see what it looks like but the problems have been problems for years.

Zibanejad is a talented player but he doesn't work with anyone. Kreider is just the best-case scenario and it's beginning to make Kreider totally ineffective.

Trouba isn't an NHL defenseman at this point. Replace him with somebody with a brain and this game is 2-2. He does way worse than Fox on that play.

Kreider-Trocheck-Vesey was unstoppable for a cup of coffee last season.

Kreider-WhoCares-Cuylle was effective the other night.

I don't know why they've never tried sticking with Kreider on a line with other forecheckers and just letting them get the puck down low and never lose it.

This team could use a line like that.

Instead it's just Kreider taking his muffin shot down the left wing because that's all Zibanejad can set up.

Zibanejad isn't built for NHL hockey of any description unless it's special teams. He's only effective when he can occupy missing space on the ice.

Not sure if it was you who pointed out that early-Ranger Zibanejad actually attacked the slot, compared to the perimeter player he is now. Sure, the concussions might've made him have to play this way. Panarin has stopped attacking the slot like he did early in the season. I learned in work-related training that when something that has to be done does not come naturally, that person can maybe adapt and do it for a while, but it becomes exhausting for that person.

Oh enough of the soft nonsense, some of you don’t even know what that means. Trouba isn’t soft. Lindgren isn’t soft. Schneider isn’t soft. Cuylee isn’t soft. Some of you don’t even know what that means. The whole NHL is soft today that’s the game.

I’ll give you Cuylle but the other Trouba and Schneider can’t/won’t keep the net front clear and Lindgren is just shell-shocked.
If we had any organizational depth Ryan should have been shut down until just before the playoffs.
Miller, Schneider, Jones and Robertson are the only defenseman in the pros that were drafted by the Rangers and the last two are more than suspect.

I defend these players and am more blindly optimistic on them when they deserve it. Anyone who knows my posting history knows this. But we had a fully healthy team and loaded up at the deadline last year and still didn't have the cajones to beat a young, inexperienced and extremely beatable Devils team, who was easily distracted by Carolina btw. We’re a top 3 team in the division but we’re not winning 4 rounds until we add multiple players (and subtract some) who will contribute to a mindset change. We’ve reached our ceiling now it’s on Drury to change the ingredients or he’ll be gone too

Bread gets lazy at times too...and Vinnie gets caught of of position a lot.they all have their warts
