This isn't just some loss.

We got shut out by the laughing stock of the league after dropping like 3 or 4 already, alongside having the worst PP in the league, and blowing the off season and picking up the trash that was left, like Stastny.

Chickens coming home to roost on the PP, and how we sign players all at once.

Look at the teams 1-9. We are definitely at risk. And we won’t be bad enough to qualify for the Bedard/or the Russian player (I forget his name right now) sweepstakes.
I am not saying we are a lock but making the playoffs in the East won't exactly be difficult. We're not going to win the Metro but we'll make the playoffs. I will even bet with the guy who wants to make out with TDA.

just put him on ignore. he has his dead horses to beat and thinks its right. its more sad than our play right now.
You're more than welcome to do the same, slick. In fact all of you can. Because I am right. Sorry you can't deal with the fact I've been calling the fact we suck and are barely clinging on since the first road trip.

It's not TDA dude. Its the fact we had him as an RFA and gave him away for nothing. He would have been cheap low risk signing. We blew assets while f***ing around with that loser Bear who - surprise, we had to retain salary on. Its the fact that Nino was a big piece of the Stall line, and we let him go when we could have had him for probably cheap and he wanted to be here.

How many other front offices let a RFA who's in the top 5 in team scoring go for like nothing?

Tough to watch this team right now. But I have to remember we’re missing Patches and TT, two 1st line forwards. The makeup of this team is completely different when they come back.

Those two back means no 1st line Noesen and no PP1. A guy like Jarvis who’s struggling in the top 6 right now moves down to the 4th line to help get his game going and hopefully help bring some goals to our bottom 6.

Patches - Aho - TT
Svech - KK - Necas
Martinook - Staal - Fast
Noesen - Drury - Jarvis

I just gotta say, i have no clue who you all are responding to.

I recommend using the ignore button liberally. Some people literally only come in here after Canes losses.

And then they will create the GDT and you’ll wonder why you cant find it…

(Too bad Conner McDavid lays for Edmonton and isn't in our farm system :) )
Note this isn't to say he's playing well. he's not neither is 2/3rds of the team including Slavin..

At this point you’re calling it like it is. No sugar coating. Even as someone that is more in the optimistic side, I know we can’t candy coat this turd 💩. Things have to change for this to be more palatable. This is not good hockey.

Are you mad because I pointed out us being 6th in the league was only 4 points away from 20th after you posted we were 6th in the league? And then I have defended we'll still be a playoff team despite all the negative posts otherwise tonight?

I guess I am emotional then.

You are emotional. It's ok though. We accept all kinds here.

What makes you guys think things are going to change when Patches and TT are back? The incompetency within the system to regularly create organic high quality scoring chances through skill based plays has been evident for three years now. For once I’d like to this team to be a team that’s scary to play against. What’s the point in being one of the least aesthetically pleasing teams to watch in the league a la Devils of 20 years ago if they’re just going to fold and wilt in the offseason every year?

This kinda makes me think about how much we talk about making the right play which naturally leads to a lot of cycling and dump ins.

I'd rather the guys get some more liberties from RBA and allow some more east west and creativity and offense off the rush.

Take advantage of our transition. Our shot totals will go down and we'll have more turnovers but I think we become more dangerous.

While I’m less than optimistic about how it will perform in crunchtime, the PP is unsustainably bad right now. That will turn around at some point, which should open up the game 5v5. Opposing teams can just pack the house and force the team into a volume of low percentage opportunities.
