Fischer and a 2nd for Brown? Brown pushes Caggiula down into the spot vacated by Fischer?

Why is Brown worth more than Fischer? I know he’s a centre. But Brown has done f*** all since his draft.

They miss the playoffs again and McDavid is asking out. How many years have they had the same organizational weakness with bandaid solutions?
Agree. Though I suspect it will be Draisatl that is traded. 6th season and the best the franchise can provide McDavid is Josh Archibald as a winger. That is awful.

I’d ask Winnipeg about Roslovic. He seems done there. Not even like Trouba and “I’ll sign now, just trade me later”. Roslovic seems to have zero interest in playing another game in Winnipeg based on reports.

We can slot him into our top six. Then bump Cag to the bottom line. On a contender he is only an occasional player.

Can we trade Fischer for him?

Roslovic is a bit of a mystery to me. He didn’t play a big role at the WJC and I didn’t notice him much in college. He’s been pretty invisible in all of his games against Arizona as far as I can remember. I try to keep an eye on young guys or guys I admired in their draft years when we play them. Roslovic I think was kind of blank against us the last couple of years.

I don’t see McDavid ever leaving Edmonton. Eichel I could see, but I think they will have a good season.
Its probably jot anyone’s first choice to demand a trade. That being said the glaring weaknesses in the team are the exact same that they were the day that McDavid was drafted. Nothing has changed from a macro perspective. Did they really need Halloway more than they needed help today on the blueline or in net? At the risk of alienating the best player in the game today it was a moronic selection.

I have loved Garland’s, Dvorak’s, Chychrun’s, and Keller’s games’ so far. Promising sign for our core.

Our vets look more inspired. Kessel looks to be going wherever he can to score, which is good. OEL still never shoots a slap shot but his 3 assists look promising. Goalies look decent.

Shoutout to Brassard, he could have like 4 goals but has just been unlucky. Pitlick and Larsson look like solid pickups and while Caggiula has been quiet, he plays with pace.
I agree, but let's not forget the Sharks are no Colorado or Vegas, especially in net. Let's see how we play the next four games, all against Vegas before we get all giddy.

Oilers need better D and goal tending, they have never had that in the McDavid era. RNH/Hall/Yak/Drai/McD, nothing but forwards really other than Klef. It took them forever to trade Hall and the return didn't workout. They could get a solid young first pairing D for Drai, that would give them a start to a better team. They got exposed by the Hawks of all teams in the playoffs last year. They have to decide if they want to look flashy or win(need D/goal tending)?

Yes the D is in need of better balance though they have 2 really good D prospects. Aside from 2 world class players (and RNH) their forward depth is awful. Trade Draisatl for a #1 G, a top 4 D and a couple top 9 forwards.

I haven’t liked Demers start so silver lining is this helps him get his shit together.

Chychrun Goose
Oesterle Demers
Capo Hammer

Something like that. Hammer can hold Capo’s hand to start.

Wouldn't it be time to test out Soderstrom? He can't sit on the taxi-squad all year.

Only about 3 weeks until the AHL gets going. I think Soderstrom will just practice until then unless we need to change something at RD.

It's the same as us with Gauthier because Stone attended camp on a PTO.

I really would love to know if we could get Yandle at 50% retention. Our PP still seems to struggle in certain areas and I think he could really help. I wonder if we could get him for the Pittsburgh 4th. They really don’t seem to need any depth forwards or D. Their bottom lines/pairs seem really over-full, as-is.

I’ve been really unimpressed with Demers, too. Seems like an ideal bottom-pair to shelter 5v5. Yandle gets PP1 mins and Demers PK1, but both get limited to no more than 14-15min 5v5.

What's that package look like?
You asking me?

The package will vary considerably depending on how good 1 or 2 of the parts are.

Kuemper + OEL + Keller + Schmaltz? Coyotes would have to take back salary, too. And OEL wont waive to go to Edmonton so there is that.

Ah, just meant in general. We definitely don't have the pieces to do it.
